We are only talking about LOW POST OFFENSE...not defense, not intensity not anything else. I made that very clear. Obviously Zo was the better overall player. We're not discussing that. And I have shown you stat after stat, and engaged you in this discussion before...Have you forgotten the discussion we had about this during the middle of the season? Don't bother. The guy can't see the forrest from the trees at this rate. Stats and facts don't impress him. And even an opinion sets him off if that opinion does not line up with his. Not only did I watch both players I followed both before they got to Gtown. In fact the recruitment of Alonzo made me a Gtown fan. It was a way to initiate myself with the progarm the way my older sisterr had when Patrick Ewing became a Hoya. I saw FAR more games of Zo than I did Sweets. Zo stayed four years and during his time virtually every last Hoya game was on TV (all of which I taped). I went to see more of Zo's games in person than I did for Sweets (and that meant travelling to No Man's Land in Landover. When Zo became a member of the Charlotte hornets I made weekly trips to a library to read the Charlotte newspaper and keep up with him. I purchased every magazine with an Alonzo article. I taped every Charlotte game that was televised nationally. Now some dude is going to tell me I didn't even watch Alonzo or that I prefereed Sweets over him?!? Nuts. What I said about Sweets compared to Zo would be the same if I wrote that Steve Nash made better decisions on the court than Iverson. Does that mean I think Nash is the talent that Iverson is? Of course not. I'll take AI, flaws and all, any day because he can be effective even if he doesn't have great talent surrounding him. He is a great talent himself. But he doesn't have a "true" point guard mentality like Nash. That's jsut the truth so what's the point of arguing over it?

Hubie Brown was on the JT show talking about Alonzo and Wade. Hubie mentions how Wade for the season and post season is in the top four in terms of free throw attempts per game. Pointed out how Wade goes to the line 9 plus times a game and that he and JT love guys like that because they are willing to go inside and not allow anyone to stop them.. They won’t be denied and are either going to score or get the contact to go to the line. For Hubie that was an example of toughess.
JTagreed and said this: “toughness isn’t just what you do to others but what you are willing to take from the opponents.”<br>

On tonight's SportsCenter, Andy Katz was talking about draft prospects... who's at the top of most teams lists and a few things like that. The anchor asks Katz who from among the underclassmen should go back to school. First name out of Katz mouth:
"Brandon Bowman from Georgetown." Katz says that its puzzling as to why Bowman even declared, when it's not that likely he'll even be invited to the Chicago predraft camp. Concludes by reiterating that Brandon ought to go back to school. Then mentions a few others who should go back, someone from Stanford, and a couple high schoolers.
Seems like the writing is on the wall (and everywhere else) for Brandon. Unless he's been having some academic problems I haven't heard about (which I doubt) I can't see him not returning.

Good find, RB. I think BB is well aware of where he falls, but it is just important for him to get his name out in NBA circles. I fully expect that he'll suit up for GU next season. It should be one special season.

For what its worth, Chad Ford has B.B. as a "Second Round - to - Undrafted." I think Brandon comes back. I think he WISELY declared to try and get to the pre-draft camps, drum up some interest, get pointers on what to work on, then come back all the better for it. And hey - maybe he blows up and gets drafted. Either way, I think he's in blue and gray next season. Just my two cents. insider.espn.go.com/nba/draft2005/columns/story?columnist=ford_chad&id=2061298
