At a minimum, the Big East title game will now be in Prime time the Second Saturday in March. Thank you Villanova.

I don't get it. Nova won this game. Not the Big East.

I don't get it. Nova won this game. Not the Big East. It is funny that they will be forced to talk about it, though, after trying to ignore the conference and even deleting positive tweets. Even if I'm no Nova fan, suck it, Storrs!

I don't know about that. I wasn't even rooting for Nova most of this tournament, but this wasn't a fluke. I think they beat Carolina 65% of the time. I think they are the best team in the country.

If you go over there (ESPN) now you'll see that just below the headline is a story about how Duke is the preseason #1 for NEXT season. Classic. Sad. Lame.

All of the national sports sites put up early rankings for next year as soon as the game ends. It happens every year. You guys are reaching.

But it's a pretty safe bet Duke or UK are going to be at the top.

How many teams are there in DI basketball. Add ten just for good measure. As far as I'm concerned, that's our rank until we prove otherwise.

They may not be as good next year, but they will have more talent than this year's team as long as Hart returns. Eric Paschall and Omari Spellman are both future NBA players

Nova beat two #1 seeds and a #2. Not even ESPN can paint this as a shocking upset.

I don't get it. Nova won this game. Not the Big East. Allow me to explain. A non-football school won the national championship from the conference that espn tried to destroy. It's a huge win for the conference which helps us from slipping into mid-major territory. When was the last time a mid-major won a national championship? By my count, it's been at least 4 decades. Don't think anyone can call the BE a mid-major now.

Don't think anyone can call the BE a mid-major now. Villanova is not a "non-football" school. They won the I-AA national title in 2009. And they were within a week of moving to I-A football before ESPN pulled the run from under the conference. Somehow, Villanova can manage a nationally competitive basketball and football program at the same time.
