What are our chances you think? Well, it's not zero, but it's pretty close to it...we had a better shot at Stewart and Tshiebwe imo. Fully expecting to be cut in his next round.

Hey it's great for optics we're in his top 12. He has already made it clear his recruitment will go into next spring which means he'll see how our season goes, examine how ewing uses his guards etc...If we have the kind of season and acheive expectations...and we somehow make it to his top 6-8...guess we'll have as good a chance as everyone else lol. Plus we also can't minimize the Greg Anthony/Patrick Ewing relationship.

Seems like a Duke, UNC kinda player. I am glad we made his final 12 list, but honestly I am surprised to see the Hoyas on that list. From everything that has ben said about him he is a definite one and done kid and that usually leads those recruits to a blue blood program. (Duke, Kentucky, UNC or Kansas) I realize some of the last few NBA #1 picks have come from other programs and that there is always a chance, but it seems pretty unlikely. Give Coach Ewing and the staff credit for making the list and staying on his radar. It does give the program some additional creditability that these major 5* guys are at least considering Georgetown again. Maybe that pays some dividends down the road with other highly ranked recruits.

Greg anthony is divorced from Cole's mom as well. So i am guessing Pat and Greg were good friends on the Knicks.

I think they are mainly looking at wings and bigs in this recruiting class. Gotta replace Johnson, Govan, Derrickson and Mourning.

I have a feeling that this kid will have more impact out of all the top dogs we are recruiting for 2019. He is the one that sets us up perfectly to show the rest of these kids that Georgetown can also host one and done.
We can have a small ball line up but imagine having 3 ball handlers that can slash and open up the lane ... pickett and yurtseven plus leblanc we already have a solid rotation ...
I think if we get Anthony he might tag along another big like what happened to michael porter jr when he want to mizzou.

Hoyas would need to add an elite 3/4 before Anthony would seriously consider the program.

I saw online (so this could be completely false) that Cole may not go to college at all. He is working on graduating early so that he can be eligible for the 2019 NBA draft. If he could get his diploma soon then he would qualify since he is older for his class. This may be smart for Cole because he could very well be the best PG in this upcoming draft class.

Makes a lot of sense for him to do this. His stock can’t really get much higher and if the one and done rule goes away in 2020 than that draft gets an influx of other guys.

Pickett could be the elite 3. I really hope we could see pickett better this year because he showed some glimpse over kenner but still lacking consistency. I am one of the biggest believers of pickett and i think he has the size and the built to make it to the nba. he just needs tutelage from Pat and believe that he can be the best player.

When he was aggressive last year and not afraid to drive, he played very well. When he was more tentative teams only respected the outside shot, making him an easier cover. Jamorko could easily be that guy so long as he stays aggressive. He's long and quick enough to get shots around the rim and convert. He will hopefully be a different player when next season turns around.

I don't see why we are even considering Anthony. Unless we screw it up, we have our PG for the next four years. There is no better way to suggest to Akinjo to consider leaving than to know we are actively recruiting over him. Let's concentrate on other positions.

Don't think Akinjo is a guy to run from a challenge, no matter how big. I think the only reason the staff is trotting Anthony is because of Ewing pat relationship with Greg Anthony in the NBA. Do we need another ph per say, no. But a talent like Anthony is hard to pass up if you can gain some traction from Ewing past relationships. Anthony would be a starter day 1 if he came. Him and Akinjo together.
