Not sure I agree with or understand the foul discussion, doc. Does it matter what type of fouls we draw? Despite the Villanova game, we've been getting to the line really well this year. We've been converting at a higher rate and getting a greater percentage of our points from the line than almost ever. This yr, I count on FTs as a weapon. If FTs is a weapon, then we need to look for it more. I think the good dr. Is saying we don't have the players to do it. Not sure I understand, pr. How much more do you want? We're number 32 in the nation at getting to the line, and that's after the Villanova stinker. Going into that game, we were number 23. Could we be better? Obviously, but we're good now.

Call me crazy but I honestly wish Reggie had shot more. We keep trying to run our offense through DSR/our sophomores and I think it's time we gave him a bit more of a chance. While I do recognize his defensive drawbacks he's honestly one of the best offensive tools we have. I am with you, and not just because he is from Jersey. I think Cameron is old school in the sense he took 2 years to learn the system, and now, as an upperclassman has the best understanding of what we are trying to do on both offense and defense. If he was just a touch quicker with his feet, he would be a nice player both ways for us. I think his playing time (20 min/game) is about right, but I would want to see III run more plays for him to get open shots. With our bigs' inability to post-up and/or receive a decent entry pass against better BE competition; this team is morphing into a 3 and (shaky) D type of team. It is what it is, I cannot let it bother me anymore. Let's put it this way, I would rather see Cameron taking a three than every other Hoya not named DSR and Derrickson.

You know I want to agree with you but I still have faith in Ike and LJ. Both have shown flashes of sinking 3's as well as nice drives to the hoop. These two really are the key to any hope of an NCAA bid. We expected a lot from them this year and its time they delivered.

Ochefu (and Reynolds) had a quiet game too, so I could see Nova fans saying that if Ochefu played to his usual level, this could've been a rout. That's what happens with the "if". Ochefu and Reynolds had 8 pts, 8 rbs, 3 blks, 1 TO and 3 fouls between the two. Bradley and Jessie had 7 pts, 7 rbs, 3 blks, 3 TOs and 6 fouls. Yeah, just saying that if Bradley had converted on 2 of those wide open hook shots and Jessie gets 1-2 of those bunnies to fall, this game is totally different. And we probably feed them more as a result getting higher % shot attempts down the stretch. But sometimes the ball doesn't go in. Bummer. Of course, Jessie's rebound drop out of bounds was a bad one too. Not the best results from our bigs on Saturday, but they gave great effort. Just a total bummer that we caught Nova totally susceptible for the upset and weren't able to convert it. Would have changed the season's outlook big time. Agree. I think that our duo can outduel their duo when we play them in Nova. I like our chances.

We needed more of it, no matter the position of the players, against Villanova and will need a lot vs Xavier. Three of our best FT shooeters (DSR, Marcus and Reggie) had 0 FTAs. That's just bad. Credit Wright with good coaching and following the scouting report.

You're right, it certainly wasn't a weapon against 'Nova. I don't think it's the primary reason we lost, but it definitely was a factor.

I'll make a fearless forecast right now. If Nova plays like they did against us Seton Hall will beat them this week.
