this team does not have any heart and dsr,is not a leader he should be.this year is a nit,if not a loosing record altogether.the team looks like they are not playing hard enough to win,and that it really does not even care either.the stupid coach is the problem.he can not adapt to the players it is his system or bust.it is bust with this team,a good coach adapts to the players he has and still wins. see bill self at kansas for the best example of this. not always best talent in big twelve but still wins it every year. he adapts to the players he has. nit is likely if not a loosing record.we want beat nova,or prov, xavier, butler that 8 looses there.we may beat depaul one and st johns one, maybee split with marq, and creighton.that looks like a loosing record to me. time for a new coach.

Proof that even punctuation doesn't help make verbiage readable.

I still think we make the tourney and like our chances in the big east. The big east will be tough but we can still turn things around and finish in the top 5.

What crap? Two solid recruiting classes in a row for the first time in a while? The problem is execution. The problem could be coaching too but the main problem is execution. After having teams that were good to near elite defensively, do you really think the problem on defense is coaching? If so, you're very likely incorrect in that assessment. Either way, it's not a JT3 "Kool Aid" thing for the majority of people I don't think. It's recognition of the fact that JT3 has more leeway than most other coaches because of his family legacy but, equally important, he's done nothing to warrant being relieved of his position. If you truly believe that he has, it's very likely that your expectations of the Georgetown basketball program are skewed. I like the story of JT3 being the coach and the familial connection just as I like the fact that sons of former Hoya greats are part of the tradition. I love that because, apparently, the fathers loved their time enough in school to encourage their children to go to the same school and the kids liked it enough to do so. That's a great thing and says a lot about the school and the program. Having said that, I wouldn't much care if JT3 decided to move on as long as the school was able to find a coach of his caliber or better to fill that position. And there's the rub. If you think there are a bunch of better coaches (not just in-game coaches but recruiting, scheduling, and off-court education and management as well) that would jump at the chance to be the head coach at Georgetown, we'll have to agree to disagree.

it's not 100% yet that we will miss NCAAs, although the chance has become vastly slim with the way we have performed.
Even if we miss the NCAA this season, IDEALLY SPEAKING, i hope this team can go back and evaluate what went wrong and what we could improve.... such as adjusting the playstyle and strengthening our weaknesses.
But in the reality, i have a feeling that many people on this board will attribute the failure of this year's team simply to Paul White's injury or Tre Campbell's illness for a few games, instead of the staffs' incapability of leading the team in the right direction

If we don't make the NCAAs with this group of players (even minus Paul and Tre), the season will have been a failure. No argument from me. But that hasn't happened yet. And, more to the point, it hasn't happened in the vast majority of seasons. We haven't been "mediocre" as you wrote elsewhere.

Hold on a second...you're asking that we be more like Bill Self and Kansas? The coach at a true elite program? The coach with a .817 *career winning percentage? The program that gets as many recruits as they want? Yeah, I guess we should be more like him, lets go snap our fingers and click our heels and we'll be there.

JTIII has left himself open to this criticism. He doesn't adjust. Neither in game or based on personnel. I hope he is doing some sole searching because this is 100% on him at this point. To make the NCAA's, we probably need to go 12-6 to be a lock, 11-7 and we are on the bubble. Based on current play, that will be very hard. I too hope for some turn around, but frankly don't see it and hope I am wrong. Wisconsin & Cuse just aren't that good. Fortunately, the bubble is always doughboy soft with the expansion to 68 so "getting in" would not be a success to me at this point.

JTIII has left himself open to this criticism. He doesn't adjust. Neither in game or based on personnel. This is patently untrue. Watch a game from 2008 and a game from last year. The offenses, for example, are completely different. He absolutely has adjusted, many a time. I can also point to many a game where we came back after halftime due to a defensive adjustment. In 2007, the team made a tactical adjustment on defense to extend the guards and let Roy handle the interior without help and it's the primary reason we went to the Final Four. So what do you mean, he never adjusts? Please explain.

I think it may be that the people that use the "no adjustments" thing as an argument may just not know anything about basketball. I can't think of another plausible explanation. One may not like the changes or may not think the changes suit the personnel but saying there haven't been any changes screams ignorance. I don't see many of the adjustments being criticized. Only that there, apparently, haven't been any. If you think nothing has changed, please realize that your indignation is based on an alternate reality.

Fellas, I know that team morale is down but you guys are not analyzing all of the variables in the defeats. Let's breakdown the losses.....the MMs.(Radford, Monmouth and UNCAshe)...undersized teams that could shoot lights out. We defended the 3 line horribly which lead to open shots. The same thing happened against the other MMs but they missed open shots in the 1st half...the HMs..(MD, Duke)..we outplayed them for 3/4 of the game(MD) and 1/2 game(Duke). In the 2nd halves we weren't able to keep the star from taking over and making shots or opening up shots for teammates. The analysis......HMs have better athletes but less deadeye shooters. Which is why we plat them better. We usually only have to focus on one or two guys that can knock down shots from deep. Also HMs are used to being able to create open shots. The aren't as used to knocking down contested shots. MMs athletes (especially the guards) have been making tough shots over bigger players their entire careers.
We will not have the same problems that we have against the MMs when the conference begins. We will still finish 2nd/3rd in the BE with wins over Cuse, Wiscy, UConn, Nova, Provy, and Xavier.........good enough for an at large........I would not be surprised if we won the BE Tourney......
The good feelings return against Charlotte.......we win by 20+pts on the road.........

On the other hand, this could be sarcasm, because there is no rational basis to expect this to occur. I think we need to go 14-6 over our remaining 20 games. That would give us a number of good wins to counteract the rancid losses that we have piled up (and I include Monmouth. They may be a good team, but getting shellacked at home is never a good look, unless you're playing a Kentucky or a Kansas). Is it impossible? No. Is it likely? Not based on anything I've seen lately.

Let's stop kidding ourselves. This team is bad, the coach hasn't been competitive on a real level for too many years. This board continues to run anyone who questions that off but that's not helping. We have lost to three programs in the short season we have played that don't belong on a court with us. Our message board loyalists continue to make excuses and protect this as blasphemy to question what is going on. I have posted before. I'm an alum that continues to donate and support my school but is frustrated that this program doesn't hold itself to a higher standard for what they invest into this program.
