Here's what we do know -- a certain chubby point guard came to Georgetown for a recruiting visit and on the way back to the airport with a certain very tall former Georgetown coach, he makes mention of <cough, cough> how much work study pays basketball players at Georgetown.
Shortly thereafter said chubby point guard signs with UConn.
If a certain very tall former Georgetown coach can tell this story, then surely it can be repeated on this board.

You know thats interesting. Georgetown did have a coach who was very tall for almost 30 years, who had a reputation for running and coaching his/her basketball program the right way. And, UCONN also had a chubby PG that was being heavily recruited when he/she was coming out of high school. If a chubby PG wanted extra pay and asked about extra pay, then I would assume G'town and its tall coach would not be the place for a chubby PG who is looking for a little extra "cheese". And if that chubby PG winds up at UCONN, well!? Meer coincidence!? And if we are on the subject of UCONN. How about one of its then-assistant coach involved in a particular operation "sting" a year ago that caused for his dismissal less than a year ago: www.collegesports.com/sports/m-baskbl/stories/082404aam.html

Shortly thereafter said chubby point guard signs with UConn. A very tall coach told that story at a basketball banquet. They were being driven to the airport and the recruit asked flatly: "Coach, how do I get paid?" The coach was furious. Not so much, he said, at the implication that he was a cheater as that the kid was so stupid to say that with someone else in the car.
