Van Fleet is really good tho...
Monmouth looks like a tough game for sure, nothing easy playing those guys. They run a 4 guard spread offense and have 3 guards that are shooting over 40%. They pick n roll and look for kickouts all game. A 1-3-1 might be our best defense against them in order to make them shoot over size. They don't operate a lot baseline to baseline so those spots, that are weaknesses in that zone might be mitigated to certain extent. Just have to keep them out of the corners..
USC lost by 10 but they shot 35% from the field and a horrid 12% from 3. That kid Justin Robinson hit 5 3's though and went for 27 averaging 24.4ppg. He is a high level shooter too his percentages are great from 2 and 3.. Tough matchup for anybody. 3 probably scheduled them to prep for Nova tbh as it's a similar style of play imo

Wow Xavier is for real. They are destroying a solid Dayton team.
BE is going to be real interesting. Gtown, Nova, Butler, Xavier, and Providence all have a legitimate shot at winning the conference.

Do not sleep on Seton Hall or Marquette, both of which have young players who will improve over the course of the season.

Good game between Providence and Michigan State to this point. I'm not looking forward to our Hoyas playing the Friars. I happened to catch an interview with Kris Dunn earlier in the day. I didn't know anything about him other than what I've seen on the court. Talk about an easy guy to root for when he's not playing the Hoyas. He seems like the epitome of what collegiate scholarships for athletes were supposed to be and often aren't. He seems like a smart, caring guy that has his head on straight and returned to school to set an example for others. I'll try to hate him on game days but it's going to be tougher than it was before. I'm glad (since he isn't a Hoya) that he's playing for Cooley. There aren't many coaches I respect more than him. He's one of the guys that seems to be in it for the right reasons and does it the right way. Cooley and Dunn make our conference look good and, except for a couple of days a year, I'm glad that they do.

Cooley with some dreadful coaching down the stretch and Michigan State pulling away. Dunn and Bentil are a very good tandem and will be tough in the Big East.

I'm not sure how giving the ball to your best player to see if he can win a game for you is bad coaching. It would have been great coaching if he hit the shots.

Michigan State scored 12 unanswered and Cooley didn't bother to call a timeout or set up any plays. That game was there for Providence to take but Cooley certainly didn't help matters.

Not to mention, they had, I think, 1 TO to burn down the stretch. It was lack of execution IMO. Not a coaching issue.

Loss by Providence ends a 15 game winning streak by the big east. Good couple of days for the conference. Butler (and potentially providence) should be getting back in the top 25
