College interest: UConn, Vanderbilt, UMass, Rutgers, Stanford, Providence, Kansas, USC and others have offered. Why his stock is rising: Delaire seems to check all of the boxes for what most schools are looking for in a four-man these days. He can switch multiple positions defensively, he can stretch defenses with his shooting and he's capable of making decisions as a passer and handler in the middle of the floor. Stock is rising for Jaiden Delaire

basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/hoop-group-southern-evans-saturday-notebookLester Quinones
In today’s game where shot makers with size remain as valuable as ever, the Rivals150 member fits the mold to a T. Better yet, Quinones isn’t just a one trick pony but someone that can put the ball on the floor, make the proper pass off of the bounce, score through contact and defend his position.
His recruitment has slowly evolved into a high-major recruiting battle between Illinois, St. John’s and Georgetown. However, UCLA has begun to show attention with the top tier shooter, as has Syracuse, a program that puts a premium on shooters as they have begun to pick things up with Quinones of late.

FOOTING REGAINED BY DONTA SCOTT DONTA SCOTT 6'7" | 195 LBS | PF IMHOTEP INST CHARTER SCHOOL PHILADELPHIA, PA CLASS OF 2019 UNDECIDEDDonta Scott showed flashbacks to his old, vintage self as he played with a purpose and a high-motor. He also hit a handful of catch and shoot jumpers and put the ball on the floor before finishing at the rim. He has plenty of defensive versatility to him as he can guard either wing position, along with some small ball four in certain lineups.
A game built on versatility, toughness, instincts and an improved skillset, Scott showed that the time is now to buy stock in the Philly Pride product. He has had a good showing thus far on the Under Armour circuit this spring and looks to be making the appropriate strides within his game. He told Rivals.com after his morning session win that South Carolina and Georgetown are two of the programs currently standing out, as Temple and St. Joe’s have continued to keep close tabs, just as well.

-- After a strong spring and a high school season that saw Donta Scott led Imhotep Charter to a PIAA 4A state championship, Georgetown became the latest to extend a scholarship offer. The 6-7 rising senior also mentioned South Carolina, Temple, and St. Joe’s as schools hard on his tail. Scott plans to sit down after the next few summer sessions and consider planning some visits. He’s been to South Carolina once, as well as Temple and St. Joe’s, both which are in Scott’s hometown. Scott, who plays with Philly Pride’s 17u team, is a do-it-all small forward with a chance to rake in some more high-level offers before the end of the summer. As for improving his game, Scott cited his finishing abilities, athleticism, and his jumper as things to work on. Scott scored seven points in his teams win over K-Low Elite’s Blue team on Saturday morning. www.cityofbasketballlove.com/news_article/show/917392?referrer_id=1566508#2

IN HIS OWN WORDS
Georgetown: “I like how they talk to me about their program and how I would fit in there. They talk about how they would treat me like family and that they could help me get to the next level from there. They think that I am ready.”
Expect for more schools to jump into the picture for Quinones in the coming weeks thanks to all of the tools that he possesses. However, Illinois, St. John’s, Providence and Georgetown could be tough to beat, though the new interest from Syracuse could be one that, if it does turn into an Orange offer, become difficult to overcome.

LesterQ Whitney Kofi I.Stewart...it's not un-realistic to think we could have all 4 or...at the best 2. For those of us who follow recruiting closely know that the staff has great relationships with all 4.

How could we have room for all four or playing time for all of them if we are still pursuing fontcourt guys from the 2018 class? Enough with the 2018 recruiting already I say.

I guess I will leave it to the staff to figure out when and to whom they want to give out those precious scholarships. Somehow those prospective monster classes never seem to work out.

Yeah, let's not get ahead of ourselves. My hope is that Ewing can land 2 bigs from 2019 who can contribute immediately as freshman.

Donta Scott www.phenomhoopreport.com/2018/05/20/philly-profiles/The following series will focus on some of the best players in the Philadelphia Metropolitan area encompassing District 12 (Philly Catholic and Public leagues) and District 1 (Suburban Philly) as well as some other top players in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey (South Jersey to be precise). We’ll start in the 2019 class as these young men get set for their last grassroots opportunities to make an impression on college coaches. Donta Scott 6’7” Imhotep Charter (Philly Pride) – Scott is a high level athlete with speed, quickness and stamina that can beat you in multiple ways and one who places more emphasis on getting the win as opposed to piling up individual stats. This was never more evident than in the PIAA 4A state title game win vs. Sharon HS when he constantly passed up open looks to dish the rock for better shots compiling 7asts in the contest. Despite an all SE Pa. all area 1st team nod and the Philly Pub’s POY award there were some that thought Donta had a mediocre year and that couldn’t be further from the truth based on the Panthers 31-2 record. On the plus side Scott is above average as a ball handler and frequently plays kind of a point forward role due to his ability to maintain control of the basketball as well as see the court and handle pressure. He also is a good shooter who can penetrate to the cup thru contact or pull up and knock down the jumper from inside or outside the arc. He has the ability to drain shots off the catch and can create his shot off the dribble although he can improve in both those areas. If he struggled in any capacity last season it was his shooting stroke as he had plenty of ups and downs in that department but on a team with multiple guys that can score the ball Scott had the chance to show off his passing ability with perfectly timed lobs or laser like feeds to cutters resulting in layups or short jumpers. His penchant for getting inside also serves him well as he has great feel for when to draw the defender then kick it out for the open trey. Another strength is his rebounding ability as he possesses great instincts and he can anticipate the ball coming off the rim then he goes after it with his quick athletic bounce. He also uses his strong frame to box out his man creating board opportunities for his teammates as well. From a defensive point of view this young man can guard the wing positions and can hold his own down on the block against like sized bigs. Imhotep prides itself on their defensive intensity and Scott buys into that with some gusto. He plays tight in his opponents jersey type D especially in on ball situations. He is a slick help defender with the ability to close out quickly on perimeter shooters and shows some real moxie in recovering from a screening action to track down his man. I’ve seen him hustle downcourt and not give up on a play to get blocks or forced shots when most players would not risk the thought of picking up a foul. Simply put he plays defense because it helps to achieve the ultimate goal which is winning. If your looking on the minus side he is sometimes loose with the ball going to his left (off hand) but he seldom over dribbles to compensate. His shooting stroke is erratic but keep in mind that he led the Panthers in 3 point % as a Sophomore so it may be a question of tweaking his mechanics to improve his overall percentage. I have noticed that he generally squares up nicely in off the catch situations but sometimes rushes the shot and he will at times drift a bit when getting a shot off the dribble which again can be corrected with more attention to detail in his mechanics. You can toss these superlatives around all day but Scott has some great qualities like toughness, focus, attitude and a fine work ethic combined with good court sense and a dedication to team play and it’s easy to see why local schools like St. Joe’s and Temple want to keep him in town but national schools like Georgetown, South Carolina and U Conn are trying to pry him out of the City of Brotherly Love and I suspect with a more focused approach this spring and summer he will see that list continue to grow.

Sounds like Josh Nickelberry is close to a Louisville commit. Don't know that we had much contact recently, but he's gonna be a good college SG.
