It pretty much has to be Jordan Morris for the trophy, but still, tremendous accomplishment for Brandon - and for the Big East, getting 2 out of 3. I'm still bitter that it's not Joshua Yaro in that spot, because he is every bit the equal of each of these guys.

These nominations show the clear numbers bias in all of these awards. Brandon is a tremendous striker but with all due respect, Joshbis a far superior player.

Soccer is getting as bad as bball for kids leaving school early. Hopefully, he will be able to complete his degree.

Not sure what the word is for this, but interesting maybe? I can't imagine this deal wasn't going to be there next season for him, and he was going to be the lead striker on a still potent team. Can't fault him for a contract that puts him on the first team though. I guess it just seems so strange to me that our soccer team would actually lose someone early to MLS...
Wish him luck, he's been a ton of fun to watch.

There are thousands of youth and high school school soccer players that are dreaming of that right now...

Absolutely, but I'm sure his MLS contract isn't a money move. It can't be much more than mid 5 figures I'm guessing at best. Granted, nothing to sneeze at but certainly not early-exit NBA first round money haha

Soccer is quite different in the sense that it has long been accepted and part of the process for players to leave school early - not just college, but high school! - to join a pro team, a pro team's development program, a training academy, etc. Especially in Europe, of course, but plenty of Freddie Adu's and the like stateside. Jordan Morris is the exception that proves the rule.
Next season will showcase whether Coach Weiss has gotten this program to the point where they no longer rebuild, they truly just reload.

Sad news for Hoyas but wonderful for Josh. Now if the two teams in front of Philly can mess this up, Harry and I can see him play all the time.

Josh signed a Generation Adidas deal today. Guess he won't be heading across the pond in the immediate future.

Great news. Now need him to slide to third so Union can grab him.

Hoping the Fire complete the acquisition of Omar Gonzalez which might allow them to go offense in the draft and let Josh fall to the Union at 3. All selfish of course as I have season tickets for the Union.

No surprise. Yaro should have a great career. Good Luck to a great Hoya.
