Wow, i wonder if Sabrina got hurt or fell. 2:16:77 is well off her normal time. At least the other 4 girls all ran well. It seems like all of our 800 runners have really been improving over the past couple of years (men and women). Piper, has been a surprise for me. I knew she was more of a middle distance specialist than her sister, but her speed has been much better than i had anticipated. She's been consistently putting up 2:06's and 2:07's.

Yes, I was wondering about the possibility of a fall. The meet is being streamed on the Fox BE network, which I don't have. It would be enlightening to know what happened to Sabrina.

That's insane that we have no one. I bet if they put up a flyer in Yates they could get some people to come out and be willing to do some events. Heck I would've shown up if I had known there was no one doing this stuff when I was in college. No chance I would be competitive, but at least we'd have someone trying. I wonder if I'd be eligible if I got into residency at Georgetown? I remember when I was at Georgetown a long time ago, the track coach asked me to try out for the high jump. I never had done the event ever, but the coach had seen me playing basketball at McD and liked my vertical leap (I would say about three feet). So he had HJ standards and a "pit" placed in McD, and I did my try out. It was a total flop (definitely before the flop was invented as the main way to do the event these days) as I could jump high, but did not have any technique to get myself over the bar. Sigh! My 3 ft vertical is now 3 inches on a good day. I think given time, you would have perfected the technique of the high jump. Your story reminds me of a friend of mine who went to Drake to play basketball as a preferred walk on but ended his career as a high jumper on their track team. Good one too.
