That was our name for it, as well.

The best springtimes that I have ever experienced were the ones I spent at Georgetown. The rest of the places that I have lived have had springtimes that are either about two days long or a springtime without much of a demarcation from one season to the next.

Man, I might just have to take a walk up M street soon - best day of the year. Good for you undergrads.

I didn't realize the Day had a name - it seems like so long ago as I sit in my barren office, I thought it was but a dream. I'll tell you, G-town was nice, but I went to grad school down south and Sundress Weeks were unbelievable. It wasn't fair. hm

Healy, White-Gravenor, Copley, Dahlgren, the lawn, Village A...they were breathtaking to me, even though I visited pre-Spring.
The only thing I hated about Springtime in Georgetown is that I had to spend part of the days studying or in class!
If the Southwest area of campus, when the MSF and Biz school are done, becomes even half as beautiful as the Healy frontgates area, then it we have the most beautiful campus in the country! And the best part is that you are still in Washington, not some podunk town away from civilization.

I agree 100%...and I am a real tough judge to please. I attended one of those picturesque New England boarding schools for high schools and through all my college tours nothing could live up to the quaint surroundings of those years...until I came across Georgetown, which absolutely blew the competition away.

Worst thing that could happen to a Hoya on days like these - class in White-Gravenor (either those big classrooms or the dreaded chem labs upstairs) over looking Copley Lawn. So many days I just sat there throwing paper airplanes from the chem labs hoping to hit a cutie down below. And then the HCl would boil over and I'd get in trouble. And then I'd ask to be kicked out of class. And then I'd get in trouble again.
