Obviously cant run a log5 until brackets come out but pretty sure math would favor the field.
They will likely have to face 2 or 3 other elite teams to win--Duke, Zona, Zags, Nova, Whisky, Virginia. Plus one or two teams at our level, and one or two at the intermediate level between elite and us--KU, Iowa St, OSU.
Even if better than 75% against all (which i doubt against other elites), they are not favored in 5 games (granting them the 1 vs 16).

Field for sure . Kentucky is the clear favorite but the NCAA tournament is unpredictable.

Hard to see anyone beating them, but they have shown vulnerability at times

The quick answer, but not necessarily the correct answer, is to of course take the field but the first two teams they face probably have little to no shot.
This reminds me of when tiger woods was going through his amazing years as the debate of course was do u take tiger or the field.
For me I'd take kentucky. It's kentucky and everyone else this year. Of course they can lose because of the one and done format. If it was best out of seven no chance any team in this field would beat them twice.

This is clearly the closest it's ever been to being 50/50 one team versus the field. I think not because of the first two rounds but because of the last two. The probability Kentucky doesn't face a top 5 team in the final is actually pretty high.

Still taking Kentucky, but that could change as the tournament progresses.

Still taking Kentucky, but that could change as the tournament progresses. I'm still taking the field. Kentucky probably has the best odds but the NCAA tournament doesn't care about odds.

I bet on the Hoyas yesterday for the 1st half, 2nd half and whole game. I was so HAPPY when Jabril threw that dunk down. That made me a winner as I had Georgetown +1 in the second half.

Weren't we up by 10 at the half? We ended the game with a 10 point victory. Second half was played to a draw. How did you win the +1 second half bet?

He was getting a point, not giving a point.
Or so I'm led to believe. After all, isn't gambling illegal?

I had the Hoyas plus 1. Second half ended up being even.
