Still too many moving parts.
Likelihoods are that Providence beats Seton Hall and St. John's loses at Villanova; SJU is too erratic and won't win on 'Nova's senior day. It will come down to GU/Seton Hall and Butler/Providence.
Take care of business against The Hall, and root for Butler to bounce back at the Dunk.

Dont think i'll ever root more for our upcoming opponent as I will tonight. If Seton Hall wins tonight, we take the 2 seed with a win on Saturday.
Of course, we all know how this goes, but having the 2 seed is the difference between playing Seton Hall/Marquette/Depaul/Creighton (teams we could be 8-0 against) and Xavier. Yeah, that's kind of a big deal.

As much as I'd like to get the 2 seed in the BET I'd be OK with that bracket. Getting another crack at Xavier and Providence would be a good opportunity for the team to make a statement before heading into the NCAA tournament.

I agree - the only draw I would prefer not to have is a matchup with St. John's. We can beat Providence (and arguably should have already twice) and getting another crack at Xavier would help us (hopefully) figure out that puzzle pre-NCAA tournament in case we run into a team in the NCAAS with a similar profile. Of course, we can beat St. John's too but they're on a roll and will playing at home, rather play anyone else.

Agreed. I'd be happy with the bracket as is. The Johnnies are really looking good right now. Plus we could possibly go on the redemption tour w/ the Friars and Xavier.

I wouldn't. Let's take our "crack" at Providence or Xavier on Friday night, not Thursday. I need 22 wins from this team to win my bet. Winning 1 BET game against DePaul or Marquette would be a big part of that.

By the way, can we just all reflect with joy for a minute at the possibility that if Marquette doesn't beat DePaul this weekend or win their first BET game, this will be the program's worst season since 1964-1965, Al McGuire's first year there?
Can you even imagine how the fan base would feel if they didn't have these recruits coming in? Man if that class doesn't pan out....
Would love to beat them one more time on Thursday at MSG to put them out of their misery, but I'm not sure DePaul or SHU will give us the chance.
