It's worth serious consideration, I think. As a matter of fact, he seems at least as good as DSR with the handle.

If he's going to make it at the next level he's a little short for an NBA small forward. Needs to work on his outside shot though, especially if he's going to transition to that position. |

Though he is improving, he still needs to continue to develop his defense in both man and zone.

Loved his scoring and activity to open the Nova game, but the young man has to connect on his free throw opportunities. They will be abundant over time for him, and guards / scorers make a living at the line! Just ask DSR of late. Or James Harden for that matter.

In all likelihood Peak moves to the 2 next year and splits time with DSR if/when Tre is in the game at the same time. I'm unsure who else we have to play the 2 really anyway unless we pick up another 2015 guard.

No way should Peak ever be a PG anywhere. DSR isn't all that good a fit, but I like the move for him because he has to show that skill to have a shot at the NBA. Putting Peak on the ball just because he's a good ballhandler is a terrible idea for his development. Kid needs to score.

Serious questions regarding DSR - not being belligerent:
Are you basing the fit comment on DSR's freshman year? Did you watch the Nova game? What about DSR's performance suggests that he isn't a good fit at the point? The main issue to me is that it takes away from his effectiveness as a scorer since he has primary ball-handling duties. But that's about it as far as I can see. |

I think he's a very good ballhandler, and fine beating the press. I think he on the whole makes good decisions and is a good passer. But he's hardwired as a scorer, and having him set up the offense for others or penetrate and look to kick requires him to look for someone else to score, not himself. I think it's hurting his shooting this year, and I think it's made him more passive as an offensive threat. And I think he puts more pressure on the defense when he's looking to score first and passing second as opposed to the other way around. Don't get me wrong, I'm in favor of the move. He's the best option we have, and I think it's a good thing for the program to do for him--i.e., it's looking out for his (future) best interests. But it's not without its warts. And we should definitely not do the same thing with Peak. |

I don't see why we would make Peak a PG as long as Campbell and White are on the roster with him. Both of those guys have more PG-related skills than Peak, who as somebody above said, is a hard wired scorer.
If we're just talking "guard" to include the 2-guard role, that's what he is now.
Re: DSR, I think he's done a really nice job playing the role he's been asked to play this year. While we'd all like for his shooting to have been more consistent to this point, he's still the team's best all around player who has stepped up in crunch time in multiple close games. DSR's a tremendous college player who is on pace to be one of the all-time great guards in Georgetown history.

My thought was Peak sharing some of the point responsibilities, especially if we don't get another one or two. Mentally, I have flirted with the idea of White or even Copeland, but I like both as forwards more. I do think those guys handle the ball well, don't get me wrong. However, Peak could still be a slasher and bring the ball up sometimes.
I also agree that it might be his best shot at getting to the NBA.
