Kansas offers a couple years of pine. Just look at McD's guys who couldn't get off the bench for them like bragg, diallo, alexander, oubre.

Oubre got some PT......enough to get him drafted after only 1 year..... I wouldn't discredit Kansas not having immediate playing time available. As of today Kansas has 8 eligible scholarship players for the 1st semester and 9 for the 2nd semester (Sam Cunliffe) and only one true SF in 6'8" senior Mykhailiuk. I'm sure that Self will use Vick, Garrett, and Cunliffe (when eligible) on the wings in a 3 guard lineup at times to backup Mykhailiuk. But there is opportunity to get playing time early. The real log jam in playing time may occur in a 2nd season at Kansas when the Lawson brothers become eligible alongside whoever Kansas brings in the 2018 class. Also Oubre who barely played at all in his first semester at Kansas but got more time as the season progressed just proves you don't need much time at Kansas to show NBA scouts what you can do. As skilled and talented as Pickett is, I don't think he is the same talent and skill level entering college as Oubre was. The real question is does Pickett want to stay local? If he takes a visit to Kansas will be the tell.

On trey Ds livestream I asked about Jamorko, he said "I think he's coming". I followed by saying "we need him" and he responded "we are trying".

Kansas is out of the running for Pickett. It's still down to Georgetown and Maryland at the moment and Hoyas seem to have a real shot here.

This would be am amazing get, but in any event, it shows how hard Ewing is working.

That kid looks like a natural. He's silky smooth, and everything he does looks effortless. We need a player like this in a BIG way, for this season, and for 2018 and beyond recruiting.

Kansas only has 3 people to play the Post. They would want him to be a post player if he were to go there.

I refuse to get my hopes up on another 'down to the last two'. I do love the hard work Pat has put in from the get go. He has a chip on his shoulder in terms of people doubting him. Love the way he is going about business so far, and would love to see it pay off for him, and by extension, us.

Maryland still likely the front runner but our chances are better than they were before our visit. Apparently our visit went well.

Jeff GoodmanVerified account @goodmanespn
Western Kentucky freshman Mitchell Robinson has left campus, source told ESPN. Will be interesting to see if he is persuaded to return.

The Mitchell Robinson situation is fluid, but source told ESPN he has serious questions about playing at Western Kentucky.

Mitchell Robinson has attended summer school for last 2 weeks. Will be interesting to see, if chooses to transfer, whether gets NCAA waiver.

Crazy stuff. Silence regarding future landing spot for Shammond. Robinson will be able to go wherever he wants, and Shammond will have tons of opportunities, but this situation is nuts.

Good thing we hired Ronnie. Otherwise we might have a spot for Shammond...

I think Pickett must be seriously considering the playing time angle at Georgetown, otherwise he would have just decided for Maryland by now. Definitely good for us. We don't have anyone on the roster with his ability or upside.

Could Kirby lure both Robinson and Pickett out of the South? We've got immediate playing time to offer both. Would be huge!

Pickett is a Hoya. Finally, the new staff lands their first recruiting victory.

#Hoyas sold Jamarko Pickett on big minutes and lots of shots right off the bat. Would've waited his turn at Maryland. He was torn for a wk.

Wow, huge if true and it looks like its true. Much needed momentum boost. Pickett, Blair, Sodom and Walker represent a nice class with upside. I'll take it!
