Reynolds is not a "real" local at all - kinda like Sapp isn't (he is from NYC). He is from the Midwest and had an eye on getting back.
He and Sampson really bonded on his visit last fall, and it's been OU all the way since then. No reason to blame the staff. They've been doing their level best with local players and HS coaches. Look for a real local push with the 07 class, which is stacked in DC and B-more.

a quality kid from somewhere else in the country is just as valuable as a quality kid from the area. If someone fits with us we shouldn't be looking at where they are from and vice versa, if someone is from the area we should be looking whether they fit with us.
