I'm not quite sure about this line at the end of the column:
"Then I stop and consider how empty McDonough must have been when he saw it, and how unrepresentative that is of Georgetown’s student body — a group so full of energy and spirit. "
Full of energy and spirit? Really?

" Full of energy and spirit? Really? I'm guessin' he meant the portion student body that showed up for the CSF game. 'Cause if he means the whole overall... yikes.

This will open a can of worms about "projections," but has anyone ever compared student attendance by percentage of the student body population to what kind of attendance they get at peer institutions and even Duke as a proportion of the student body population?
I'd be curious to know if someone has run numbers on this.

I think we drew like 1200-1300 students for the Nova game and some other games like SHU and WVU. That's the ceiling, to my knowledge, but I don't know the floor.

there were something like 600 or so student season ticket holders, but that doesn't really indicate how many showed up for some of the weaker games on the year.
