I love how we debate whether we should take this kid. Yes, ideally I would love to have a quick point guard with great court vision and a great shot. But unless you know any of those coming to Gtown anytime soon, I say trust the staff. Cuz we need a pg badly. I never said we shouldn't take him -- and if he does commit i'll root hard for him -- but there are others in the '16 class i like more. Since this is a message board, part of the fun is to debate which players we prefer/like better. Because we need a PG for '16 I think we can afford to wait a little longer to see where we stand with Jackson and Fultz, both of whom I think are better. That's all I'm saying. I do have some appreciation for the staff not wanting to miss out on guards like they did last year, but I also think some posters were vindicated when we argue against the "bird in hand" theory for guys we're lukewarm about like Adonis De la Rosa at St. Johns who a lot of posters were clamoring for last year....

Fair enough. Not sure there's a ton of good 2016 Pgs out there we could get and I know the staff really likes Day Day but I am curious why him over Blake Harris.

I was one of those guys that was against looking at ADR but the two situations aren’t really similar. ADR is similar to B Hayes in that they were kids who got more attention because options were limited. Since the majority of the 2016 class is unsigned it appears the staff likes Bracey regardless of who else is on the Board.. I feel you on bigger PG’s but I think the move is to sign a Bracey and a Fultz/Jackson Combo Guard type. I love both guys but IMO not better PG’s than Bracey. Also size doesn’t matter as much when you have 6’5 6’8 6’8 6’10 next to him. Think 3 would like to sign a creative type of point that can get easy shots for others in Bracey and also sign a bigger Combo Guard that can run the show a bit so he has options on D and O

Didn't he also witness first-hand the egg we laid against Xavier? Hopefully there's at least a small built of goodwill left over from watching the game against 'Nova.

Lol, YaBoy. We got Kaleb after the Xavier debacle so why not? I'd trade a loss for recruits like these any day.

Interesting he has Bracey ahead of Pugh. I had thought Pugh was more highly regarded than Bracey? Personally, I'd be happy with both........plus Jackson....

Other 2 prob have higher upside but Day Day prob the best right now… If he was 6’1 6’2 His ranking would be higher than both guys, so you have to ask how much is 2-3 inches worth. For me given the players that would be around him not much. You get a PG like Day Day whose always moving downhill, has great court vision and stays in the lane, surround him with scorers it’s very hard to stop. I love Q Jackson but he’s a Combo. He can score with the best but not great at setting people up. Bracey next level projects to be more of a table setter. The kind of kid that makes the game easer for others around him. Needs to work on his jumpshot non stop for the next 2 years.

Looks like he has elite quickness; something we really need at the guard position. We seem to get our share of power guards (Trawick, DSR, etc.), but I think we also really need a quick guard who can penetrate on O and stop penetration on D.

Tre certainly fits the bill. I love what I have seen of Tre, so far. I believe that he will develop into a great Hoya guard.
