When's his commitment date? Daquan Bracey has a commitment date picked: Sept. 9, 2015 It means very little though

Staff has been watching him a lot. Very Bryce Cotton. Any sense how receptive he is to the hoyas?. Seemed pretty awed by the offer. Hopefully turns into a commit

He seemed pretty amped going into the locker room after the Butler game. Staff loves his quickness, decision making and ability to penetrate.

I hope he was watching the game today. On the road, lose 2 starters, then P White fouls out, and we still pull it out in OT. Freshman PG Tre Campbell played 28 minutes and hit the key three pointer with a minute to go in OT to put us up 4. DSR had 19 and Tre had 14. Good game by the guards. Let's hope Dayquan wants to be a HOYA!

I haven't had a chance to see him play yet this season, but I heard he again looked tremendous today vs Calvert Hall.
His size may keep some from pursuing but all I hear is he has everything you want in a point guard and he's tough as nails.

Mason the PG for Kansas is 5'10" and does pretty well. This kid looks like a do it all point. Like him.

I'm not as pumped about Bracey as some of the rest of you are. Only seen the clips linked above.
Calvert Hall appeared to have some taller guards and saw a number of 3s shot over Bracey.
The PG in our offense needs to be rock solid and not turn it over. With his small size and quick first move and penetration style game, unless he is truly an elite athlete and finisher, this style usually translates into high turn over rate at the college level.
Also didn't like the form on his jump shot and think he will struggle to get his shot off at the next level.
Don't know enough to provide any first-hand opinion, but my gut reaction is that Bracey would fill a scholarship need, but it's not likely he's the kind of recruit who will help us take it to the next level. Maybe that's okay if we have someone in 2016 identified as a top PG/SG target, because we do need depth.
I think the Campbell recruitment shows that Georgetown should be able to find an under the radar PG recruit with great speed, lower projected turnover rate, good form on the jump shot, and better height/wingspan to cover and shoot 3s on the perimeter.
That's my reaction after watching the video.
If the kid has elite hops and has a knack for finishing against bigs in the lane, then I would revise assessment, and then really take a hard look at his FT% and 3 point shooting form before offering.

Again, I haven't seen him yet this season - I hate to go off of who a player was last year - but everyone (coaches, players, refs, etc..) who I talk to about him absolutely raves about his improvement and overall ability. Smart, good court-vision, doesn't force things, super quick, tough, good passer, scorer, etc..
I'll take their word for it.

Fultz and/or Jackson are the ones I want in that class..... Sign me up too Denny.. We have a guard who is the BE player of the year, a string of high-caliber bigs and wings who are blowing up to put around our guards, and a brand new practice facility coming on-line. We're playing a faster tempo and getting out onto the break much more. We have three assistant coaches who are known for their recruiting. I can understand losing out on some of our priority guards in the past but there's no excuse for it moving forward. If we can win a couple games in March we should be one of those hot teams once again and get our pick of the litter. I'm not saying Bracey is a no go because we do need help at the 1/2 positions any way you slice it looking at our roster. But I do think that if we're getting average-level guards in the next few classes, we'll never get program changing players...

Pretty much heard the same things as Deacon regarding this kid. Personally I’ve only seen 2 of his games online so take with a grain of salt
When things get stagnant you need a player that can break down the defense and create for others. Bracey has to be one of the best in the 2016 class in this area. This kid has a wicked handle is ultra quick and in the games I saw nobody was staying in front of him. He constantly gets into the lane and is really good at finding people for easy layups or kick outs for open 3’s. Kid is fearless attacking the rim and despite his size he uses his ability to score with either hand and craftiness to finish in the lane
Ultra quick and can change directions at the drop of a dime. He has a great crossover but his hesitation moves are where it’s at. He just leaves people, gets great separation on that move. In the open floor he’s a blur.
Shot needs work but his what’s inside this kids chest does not. Fearless, wants the ball in the Big moments and usually came through in the 2 games I saw.

I think a guard who can really break down a defender and dish is something we've been missing for a long time. I've been trying to think of a Hoya comp for this kid, and for the life of me can't think of anyone.
