Good to see the team at the Butler game doing some scouting.

Why do I have a sense that jabril may come down hard on finney-smith as he tries to strip the ball? I was just gonna say this. Maybe it's because I always played with an edge regardless of sport, but I'd be out there hacking away at this kid's hand/wrist. Not egregiously to the point of flagrant fouls or anything, but I'd be looking to whack this kid in the hand every chance I got.

At the very least, the game plan should be to force him to dribble with that hand as much as possible.

There is a difference between "playing with an edge" and "playing dirty". Make him dribble with the off-hand? Take the ball to that side when he is on D? I can see that. Purposely "hack" at a broken hand? Wow, classy.

But if the kid is gonna go out there and play like that, all I'm saying is he better be ready for what comes. I'm not saying stomp on his hand after the whistle. I'm saying if the kid is in the lane and I have a chance to whack his hand while I'm trying to block the shot, I'm whacking his hand. Call it dirty if you want. That was my mentality on the field.

In hockey they declare injuries as upper body or lower body. They do this to try and make sure the other team doesn't target an injured players injury. If buddy doesn't want his injury to get picked on, don't play. Otherwise suck it up and I hope we go after an injured players affected area.

Am I wrong in thinking that being active doesn't necessarily mean you play?

Am I wrong in thinking that being active doesn't necessarily mean you play? Think they give a DFS a shot to see if he can go. Think Carter is probably not going to play and if so not much. That would be my guess...

I would never ease up on an opponent or make a special effort to avoid hitting an injured area, but intentionally trying to re-injure an opponent strikes me as cheap. Then again, sportsmanship ain't what it used to be.

Intentionally re-injuring a guy is always wrong.

Johnny you sound like a football/ basketball player and not the other way around. So would you step on a sprained ankle? I'm not saying you are wrong but I was never and am still not that type of player. But don't worry because Brilly is that type of player.

Think no matter who you are if your opponent is hurting you try and test that injury.. I don’t think you intentionally go at a guy but you don’t alter your game either.
