why in the world would bowman even think about the NBA? he hasn't even played in a ncaa tourney game in his whole career. he is a 3rd all big east team player at best. there are 100 other players that would be selected over him. i am so glad he didn't hire an agent.
i can't imagine anyone telling him he would be a 1st round pick, let alone a 2nd round pick. i am stunned!
he needs to turn this team into a top 25 program, make the ncaa tourney, get some exposure for him ( like so many players do in the ncaa tourney ). he needs to put up better #'s.
i can't believe JTIII is happy with this. he is shooting down the team's chances next year before the season even gets started
i hope he comes to his senses that he a LOW 2nd round pick AT BEST.
come back brandon! we need you!
just remember victor page!!
OUT
go hoyas!!

RELAX!
I think it's a 10% chance at most that BB stays in the draft. This is just a good way for him to get his name out and get a little exposure among NBA scouts. It'll set him up well for next year, as nothing will help him more than starring on a good Hoyas team.
It makes perfect sense from his point of view. I'd prefer he didn't do it either, but, until he signs with an agent, this isn't a Vic Page or Omar Cooke scenario. It's more like Jameer Nelson - getting seen, getting feedback, getting ready for his senior season.

People should try to not get too worked up over this. While it does scare me a little, I think this can only be a positive for Brandon if done properly.
1) He gets his name out there and gets more publicity and hype for next year. On televised games next year the commentators will be talking about how he entered the draft but chose to come back and that sort of thing, making him look like a much more legitimate draft prospect next year.
2) The scouts and everyone out there can tell him what he needs to improve on and he'll be much better prepared for what they want next year when the draft comes around.
If he comes back this will be be nothing but positive for him. If he stayed in the draft it probably wouldnt turn out so good for him, but I think thats highly unlikely.

i can't imagine anyone telling him he would be a 1st round pick, let alone a 2nd round pick. i am stunned! Not to be nitpicky, but I always see people make the same mistake with this expression... It should be the other way around.... "I cant imagine anyone telling him he'd be a 2nd round pick, let alone a first round pick." Thatd imply that a 2nd round pick is a status he is not at, and thus first round status is even more out of the question. Just for future reference Anyhow, yea, Bowman just wants to test the waters... Most guys who have a SHOT to get drafted as seniors next year enter as juniors. It helps them improve in the offseason, helps them toward their goal of playing in the NBA. I doubt it has any negative effects on the 2005-2006 Hoyas, so don't panic.

dude brandon ain't getting drafted so doing all that great stuff that you said 007 is cool and all, but unless Bobo channels His Airness in individual workouts, he is coming back.
I think Bobo's big weaknesses are his dribble drive which looks terribly awkward, and his nonexistent post-up game...i think MCI or someone already mentioned these...

I think we need to give Brandon more credit. Dude is not an idiot. I'd bet, having never met him, that:
1. He knows he's longshot to get drafted 2. He knows there is absolutely no downside to declaring. 3. He will get a benefit from hearing what scouts have to say and from possibly playing at Chicago.
Half the people on this board act as if Brandon thinks he's a lottery pick, is definitely gone, and just hasn't hired an agent out of dumb luck.

I think he's just testing the waters to see where he is and what he needs to improve on to perform at the next level. At least I hope he is because he would basically be throwing away his career because there is no way he gets drafted
