Talked to someone in McD. No live stream. Video highlights will be posted to GUHoyas. Ridiculous. And then they wonder why we don't contribute $$$ / there is little sense of community outside of DC. Such an easy thing to do to build momentum and interest.

Hoyas247 @hoyas247 2m2 minutes ago Welp, Trey Songz and the DJ weren't on the same page with the music it seems. Two songs that had McDonough going and one a capella rap.

Kind of a bummer that Fox Sports 1 did not do anything for Big East Midnight Madness this year - I remember them making a pretty big deal of it and broadcasting it from many schools live last year. Oh well, bumped by Nascar again, it seems... anyways, still ridiculously excited for the season to start.

I feel like midnight madness get bigger and bigger. I wonder what would happen if they did stuff like that for football, what would happen?

At one point I saw a woman with an ESPNU mic taping a segment courtside. Not sure what it was for.

Have we found out if there will be a live stream? I remember there was one last year (although you couldn't really hear anything much). I have a couple highlights. Here's Isaac:

Mikael Hopkins First impressions of the freshmen "A lot of guys can do a lot of different things. L.J. can put the ball in the basket from anywhere on the court. Paul can handle the ball tremendously, he can probably play some point guard for us. Isaac is very athletic, can crash the boards and knock down open shots. Trey Mourning can also spread the defense out and knock down open shots. Tre Campbell is learning the point guard position and he's doing a good job with that.” Media Day Qoutes: georgetown.247sports.com/Page/100270/Contents/Georgetown-Hoyas-Media-Day-Player-Quotes-Edition-32297864#M32298868

Josh Smith Why he went home for the summer “It was just one of those things where I talked to Coach Thompson and he felt like it might have been better just to go home and get fresh. It was kind of good for me; I got my first job ever, just kind of like being at home, being with my little brother, and going to the gym. Just kind of having some family time, I kind of needed it.” Which freshman has impressed him the most “I’d probably have to say L.J. I mean we all knew L.J. was a scorer coming out of high school averaging crazy numbers. But, since I’ve been here, like I said Isaac, Paul and both Tre(y)’s are good but I feel like L.J., he’s really good. He scores, he’s smart, he can dribble, he can get to the cup, he can shoot, he’s got a really good feel for the game for someone who hasn’t played in college yet so I really like how L.J. can play.” georgetown.247sports.com/Page/100270/Contents/Georgetown-Hoyas-Media-Day-Player-Quotes-Edition-32297864#M32298868

Smith candidly answered questions about last season. "It's great to be back, but, yeah, it's been a long offseason for me," said the 6-foot-10 center, who finished as Georgetown's third leading scorer with 11.5 points per game. "I felt embarrassed just how that went," Smith continued. "I'm a man, I manned up. It was a mistake that happened. I owned up to it. I had to sit out last year. It was a terrible feeling watching your teammates play at home, watching them play in the Big East and [knowing] all you can do is offer them moral support. I'm not going to let these guys down again. "They had me in salon shoes. That's women's shoes. I don't know anything about it," Smith cracked. "I'm over here selling boots and heels to older women. I'm messing up the sizes and getting the wrong brands. I'm kind of glad the job is over, but it was a good experience." www.csnwashington.com/ncaa/hoyas-countdown-no-18-embarrassed-josh-smith-mannedArticle and Video..
