Very small crowd at Colgate. The box score might say otherwise but there does not look to be much more than 1,000 on the home side.
1st quarter series:
GU : Six plays to midfield, punt to Colgate 3. CU: Runs of 33 and 53 yards to the red zone, but turn the ball over on downs. GU: Three plays, punt is blocked out of the end zone Colgate 2-0 CU: Four plays, INT at Georgetown 8 (G. Powers) GU: 12 plays to midfield, punt to Colgate 5.
End of 1st, 2-0.

Colgate always has small crowds. Wait there's a box score with attendance in the first quarter? Half the crowd shows up during second quarter in the PL anyway.

Loving being able to watch the game on real TV!
That said, our tackling is awful and we need to get more aggressive in general.....regardless somehow we are keeping it close.
Go Hoyas!!!!

Yeah I have a feeling we're going to have a lot of these games. Just like we have in the past. No offense. A reasonable defense. But the gap will widen as the other PL teams start to reap the benefits of their scholly players.

The difference between the two teams was not as wide as the score indicates. There were 4-5 bad snaps that killed drives and special teams mishaps that should have had both teams go into the half 0-0 or 7-0 at the worst. Georgetown beat themselves Saturday, and those mistakes can be corrected. Another observation: Our punter looks like he is 5 yards closer to the line of scrimmage than any other team in punt formation. Most teams put the punter back 14-15 yards to receive the snap, ours is 9-10 yards back making it easier for teams to get on the punter before he kicks. I don't know why we do that. Harry has a good leg and the long snapper has a strong enough snap to get the ball back there quickly. This team can finish around .500 this year barring any major injuries.
