That's weird. Pretty sure they play on campus, and I've never been to an on-campus arena that sells beer (even ones that are set up to sell beer at other events).

Guess you haven't had the privilege of Dome foam.

No alcohol at NCAA tournament events. I believe the regular season is up to the individual institution.

Listen, what do you think Buzz Peterson makes recruits do in that room he locks them in chained to the radiator, before he makes it rain money on them?
Shots. Lots of shots.

My Freshman year 74-75, we could buy beer for 50 cents and mixed drinks for a dollar in McDonough.
Of course the drinking age was 18.

It is up to the institution and/or the conference. The Big East has always been an alcohol friendly league.
Temple also sold beer on Campus as recently as the 2005 season, last time I went to a game there.

I thought Methodists frowned on drinking.

I went to Georgetown. It was never a concern. Taking a school bus Landover wasn't fun but it did have its benefits.

Unless you sat in the back row and your knees were well above your bladder and traffic was awful. Then it got interesting, even before Deke and Zo laid the smackdown on Hurley and Puke.

Schools choice. And some states have a say in their state schools. I remember an NPR story about when WVU decided to start selling to REDUCE the amount of alcohol related issues because people did need to get black out before entering the stadium. Also, because its WVU, they near lost money selling booze to college kids. As unbelievable as that is (it might not have been WVU, might have been Colorado, it was a couple years ago).

No, the Colorado kids all get their own Joint pregame, keeps from getting the players high off second hand smoke. I think you were thinking of WVU allowing students to burn a couch pre-game to prevent post-game riots.

Georgetown fans should get Xanax with their season ticket packages. Just seems right.
