Thanks, yeah that seemed weird, appreciate the update. Kind of surprising Jackson wouldn't visit Notre Dame on a football weekend, would think that's when Brey would want kids on campus.

With the opening of the new athletic center would his pops be invited that weekend? Would junior tag along on an OV?

Jaren Sr. should be invited to an event like that, and it would be great if the staff could set up an official visit for that weekend for Jr. I am guessing that a good visit this weekend is a prerequisite for that type of thing. Fingers still crossed...

I take Hope from this. If the issue were one of bad blood, a courtesy visit would not take place. Time for all of the big boy alums to show up in force and make this kid love GU like we do.

Also good that he's visiting when all of our guys should be there, and the practice facility should be (unofficially) open too.

I think he's only visiting because he'll be visiting Maryland the same weekend.

i'm hoping that everyone that will be on campus this weekend will let him know the love is here. Let him know this is the place "New Times".

What a "fingernails on the chalkboard" moment it would be for MD if JJ Jr visited them and ended up unexpectedly coming home where he should be. Don't think it will happen but you never know---. I also can't see putting the kid through a courtesy visit if the decision is already made. The more likely scenario is that the choice has been made among all the alternatives and now the decision will be made between that school and the Hoyas.

JJJ said that he would wait until the Spring semester to decide. Is he now saying that he will pick this semester?

JJJ said that he would wait until the Spring semester to decide. Is he now saying that he will pick this semester? A lot of different stuff out there with one scenario having Michigan State and Georgetown battling Maryland (the favorite) and Purdue (right behind MD) with a spring decision still possible, while the other has Maryland clearly in the driver's seat with this weekend's visit possibly sealing the deal with a decision as possible as the early part of next week. We'll see. One thing Georgetown has in its favor is both Jaren and Jaren Jr.'s desire to be back in this area.

Twitter says Thursday visit, Maryland on Friday. That tells you everything.

Not necessarily. Who knows? The tea leaves on this one do not seem that clear. Hoyas should push as hard as possible and fight until the end.

I have no inside information on this recruitment...never do when its a legacy kid. If we do land JJJ...he'll be the most celebrated recruit in my mind since Greg Monroe.

How amazing would it be to see a mourning and a jackson on the court at the same time together again? Only this time the Mourning would be the senior and the Jackson the freshman instead of vice-versa.

At least in terms of "rankings" Ike was a 5 star recruit according to ESPN..he finished as the #16 recruit in the country. He may have been a bit lower on other services. JJJ is a 4 star and #26 on ESPN...although could finish higher. Anyway..just reminding folks that Ike was quite a get for us..at least at the time!
