If a legacy goes to your main rival what's the tax? Syracuse offered him?

A lot of conflicting info out there about his recruitment, but most of it positive for Georgetown. Not near a decision but it seems like we're in the driver's seat for now.

Only school on his list that I would be okay with his decision over us is Michigan St. If he picks them, I can't say it's a bad decision Basketball wise.

JJ was valedictorian in HS, so I would be upset if his son chose Syracuse or Maryland.

With a 7-foot-3 wingspan and size 17-feet, Jackson might not be doing growing yet as he just turned 16 years old last month. His potential is through the roof as he can hit the 3 off the pick and pop and is a menace on the defensive end as he acts as a rim protector and is capable of blocking shots with either hand and out of the weakside, can move his feet and defend away from the basket, and has the agility and motor in finishing on the break. While he can oftentimes float to the perimeter, the budding skillset from Jackson is marvelous. He has deceptive handles on the breakdown, can slice and finish with the off-handed dunk at the rim, and is very engaged and active on the offensive glass. Throw in his quality set of academics and bloodlines, and there isn’t much that you have to argue with in imagining what might be in store for the junior big man.

Come on Jaren! The new IAC is going to have lots of rafter space for banners and wall space for NBA jerseys. Help us decorate it!

Should be at the top of our recruiting list. Perfect fit for our system, smart kid, great family and huge upside. If he has half the work ethic and confidence that his dad has, then he's going to be a stud.

Jaren Jackson Jr., PF, Park Tudor School, 2017: The son of a former Georgetown star, Jaren Jackson showed vast potential on the floor at Lawrence Central over the weekend. With superior length, agility, and a quality motor, Jackson plays each possession hard and shows deceptive ball skills off the face-up. He can play a bit too much on the perimeter but the 6-foot-9 forward can hit the outside jumper with his feet set and is capable of finishing at the basket with his off-hand. However, the Park Tudor big man’s greatest value comes on the defensive end where he can guard the ball screen appropriately, recovers nicely on plays, and acts as a solid rim protector, showing immense upside for Jackson to be a top tier recruit in the 2017 class and a guy that has his best ball ahead of him hoopseen.com/index.php/news/headlines/item/3666-indy-top-80-top-forwards?utm_content=buffer603fd&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

Come hang your banner next to your father's. Please!
I was on Jaren's floor freshman year. He was everything you want in a Hoya and i am certain his kid would be too. Saw him at reuniun recently, still incredibly sharp, personable and funny. Couldnt get a better legacy, even if they were named Thompson, Ewing or anything else.

Jackson is another guy with a great pedigree (his father was a 6'4 2-guard who played at Georgetown in the late 80s and for 13 years in the NBA) and he too has the length, athleticism, and skills necessary to play both inside and outside. His ultimate position will be determined by whether he continues to grow and/or whether he develops more of an outside shooter's mentality, but it was hard not to be impressed with his quickness around the basket and ability to rebound, block shots, defend, and pass out of the post.

I don't recall his playing SG at GU while I was there. He was the 3.
