A freshman in the 5 spot? Guess that's what you get. Yeah, that hurts. At least he has 3 years to redeem himself. Great atmosphere, ty result, dominated the game, just couldn't close it out.

Hell of an effort by our guys. We did dominate play for most of the game, but they've got nothing to be ashamed of for coming up just short against a UVA team that played just as hard for 110 minutes. I thought the officiating was pretty shoddy all afternoon, but no calls really came close to impacting the outcome of the game. The field was a disaster towards the end of the game, and I thought it really leveled the playing field somewhat as no one seemed to be able to consistently gain confident footing during the 2nd half and OT. IMO, conditions like that favor the weaker squad, but hey, so it goes.
Great crowd today; kudos to the students for being loud the entire game and following around the UVA keeper like a stray dog all afternoon despite the weather. Now if we could only get that kind of enthusiasm at Verizon every game...

Virginia wins......so disappointing to see that bunkering style of play rewarded with a national championship. So the Hoyas came within 53 seconds of defeating the future champion.
Their goalie was quite imposing in the goal during the Pks.

That hurts a lot. The great news is they return a ton of talent and have a banner 2015 recruiting class. We just need Josh to love college enough to stay another year.

Yeah, i think we somewhat caught a break against Syracuse, but Im pretty p'oed about losing to Virginia, and the fact that they won 4 straight games by playing that soccer. As Alexei Lalas, I think, noted, it's not like UVA was some David playing against a bunch of Goliaths. They just played ugly, defensive soccer and got away it. Yes, I'm bitter.

Were it not for that late defensive lapse, this board would be talking about a national title this morning and not about Mikael Hopkins.

Awesome news. Harry will be thrilled. He should be odds-on favorite for National Player of the Year.

Coach Wiese has done a nice job of populating the program with talented players who happen to be good people.
One of Harry's biggest Christmas thrills was opening the box that held the game-used Revoution jersey sent to him by his pal Steve Neumann.
He has been a wonderful friend to Harry since they met.

Yeah, I can honestly see us being ranked #1 next year. We have quite a returning class.
