What would people rather have: A 4th year Hayes or a first year Papa? If Hayes doesn't make major strides this upcoming year, there may not be any PT left for him.

What class 2015 or 2016? One of the mix tapes has 2016.

Like his game and potential just needs to tighten it up a bit… Recent Game I saw he was blocking everything in sight was very impressive also very good passer. Can make a spectacular play one minute than a wtf the next, not uncommon for a young big just needs reps/experience and simplify things a bit.. In some ways maybe too good not to offer think he would do well in our system and might mean we’re expecting to have 3 more ships available. Games I saw he was the best most impactful player for Takeover tbh. They went 1-2 the session he didn’t play edging GA Stars who is one of the worst teams in EYBL (Sorry Noah!) Yeah - stuff is so easy for him that he doesn't look as skilled as he is. But remember, JTIII LOVES big men who can pass. That being said, I'd like to see a guard in the mix who's quick defensive and can pass.

I'm glad to see we're still pursuing him even after the Govan/Dickerson commits. I like Govan and Dickerson, but I think Papa is actually a much better fit for our offense. He has really nice skills and passing for a legit 7 footer, and can shoot out to the three point line. That being said, we don't know if this is a commit-anytime offer or a conditional offer. I think that would be dictated by Rabb's decision...

This doesn't make sense at all, since nothing can ever happen that would prevent one of our centers from playing. The program just signed 2 top 50 type low post players for 2015 in the last 2 weeks and are heavily involved with Rabb who may be the best post player in the class.. Rabb just had a great visit to the school earlier this week and it's followed up by an offer to another top post player? I find that very strange.. Btw, what message does this send to Dickerson & Govan? That you're preparing in case they get hurt or something unforeseen.. Wait. What message does the recruitment of Rabb send them? How is this any different? Regardless of whether the Hoyas have 2 or 3 scholarships left it is highly unlikely that the staff would use it to bring in two more bigs. One more in this class could be overkill; two more would be a problem. I'm assuming the staff is only keeping its options only just as some of you have been crusading for for months now. Whoever chooses GU first, if either of them (Rabb and Papa) choose GU at all, will get the scholarship. Same case may be made for Commanche. But for certain the staff realizes it needs more guards/perimeter players too. Frankly I would be just as happy to call an end to pursuit of any more bigs for 2015 and save the effort for Thon in 2016 (unless he reclassifies).

Jamie Shaw @jamieshaw5 May 18 Team Takeover 7'1 Georgios Papagiannis is a pro. Best passing big I've seen. Low post touch, strength, understanding, & production #EYBL

This is really good news .. Saw him play last Saturday in person, having no idea who he was, and was immediately struck by how big and smooth he was, thinking "how can we not be on this guy?". Certainly he's no Rabb, but he would be a very strong addition on both ends...

The staff is doing what everyone has been clamoring for them to do -- cast a wide net and make sure they have options, since things don't always turn out as you want them to do. How many complaints have we seen around here that JTIII put all of his eggs in one or two baskets and the Hoyas got jammed up when they did not land the recruits they were after? He is trying to make sure that that does not happen again. But, the hand-wringing endures. Ya can't win...

The board pretty much has it figured out...1 of our recruits is a walk-on...giving us the luxury of getting two or 3 more guys. While Govan should be a great Hoya, he's more than likely a 3/4 year kid. The staff wants to make a FF run and they want it to happen sooner or later. We've likely got Isaac for 2 years and need to make a deep run within that window. Hence, they want some studs that can come in, start from Day 1, and help us win immediately. Georgios, Ivan, DJ, and Alonzo all fit the mold.

It's really not MCI, it's just hard to argue against chasing a top 2-3 player in a class.. If I'm pressed to answer I'd probably say they've been on Rabb hard for awhile now and he can be on the court with both Dickerson & Govan, Papa can't imho.. Also Rabb is an elite, elite type player who has a diverse skill set.. Papa is a very very good player and more than likely a future pro but "officially" offering him now after landing 2 quality post players in his class seems like overkill to me.. I agree 1000% with the 2nd comment I highlighted MCI, I think the staff can be real players in the Maker sweepstakes next season..

This doesn't make any sense at all.. The program needs ball handlers going forward.. What doesn't make sense? Offering a 7 footer that will likely be a 1 or 2 and done? Guys, we have 3 scholarships left for 2015!! Trey Mourning is a WALK ON. It's clear the staff is looking to get one more quality big man. Comanche, Labissiere, Rabb and Papaiannis, Dozier, Trier, Bacon and R.Smith all have offers. One of those scholarships will be a guard, the last 2 will be for whomever pops first from that list.
