KU freshman alex galindo (new jersey) said that he is interested on transfering closer to home. www.kusports.com a decision will be made when bill self returns from the final four. if he does tranfer, deandre thomas is likely to get a scholly offer from KU and by all indications they are the school to beat.

absolutly. galindo is a hell of a player. this season he played the 4 which is not his natural position. if we give him a chance to play the three (replace brandon) he would be huge. he has great range and can really drive the lane. i just think that he struggled this year because he was matched up against some really big guys and he doesnt have much muscle.

Galindo looked great early in the year, but they definitely lost some confidence in him as the year went on. I think he'd be an awesome fit in our offense. He's not the most explosive athlete, but he can shoot, pass, and dribble effectively. We're starting to stock up on wings, so maybe he's not the most urgent fit, but he'd be a great use for a scholarship. Three years of Galindo starting at the 3 would look great.
Was Kansas really playing him at the 4? Man, he isn't anything close to a 4. Closer to a 2 probably.
It's pretty sick that Kansas could lose Galindo and Russel Robinson (both top 75 players) this year and they won't feel it at all.

i dont think kansas is going to lose both galindo and robinson. in fact i dont think they will lose either. galindo played the four cuz self wanted to do it for match up purposes. trust me there was a lot of desention for those moves. i dont get it. JR Giddens played like crap all year yet he never moved galindo to the three.
we will feel the loss of these transfers. if both left that would be the second straight season with two transfers. NOT good for the program, even with self's recruiting ability.

Galindo would be a perfect fit for us. He plays with heart and has the skills to contribute solid points every game (given enough PT).
He will play, and probably start, for Puerto Rico's basketball team in this year's u-21 World Championship tournament. The starting team will probably include Miami soph and second-team ACC Guillermo Diaz (also former BE rookie first team), JJ Barea from Northeatern (NCAA top five scorer), Arizona's Verdejo, and Peter Ramos from the Washington Wizards.
