basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1689118Porter is aware of the general perception that Missouri will be tough to beat, but he says that he is open to all schools. In addition to Missouri, Porter said that Iowa and Indiana have been by to see him. Duke and North Carolina will both be in to see him in the next few weeks and he holds offers from Mizzou, Kansas, Baylor, Wichita State, Washington, Colorado, Marquette and Illinois.I hope the staff makes a run at the kid.. You have to think that the staff has followed this kid, no? Maybe he's not interested in the Hoyas and that's why he's, seemingly, not on our radar? I have no idea whether or not the staff has reached out or not but the kid said in the article he's open all schools right now.. I'd have to believe that G'town recruiting a relative of Otto Porter would generate some type of news..

I'd have to believe that G'town recruiting a relative of Otto Porter would generate some type of news.. Agreed. And, having had Otto, I find it difficult to believe that they're not tracking his cousin. That's the only reason I raised those questions. I have zero information. But, if you have a guy like Otto from a family of players, I have to think the staff is clued in. The only reason I could come up with for him not having an offer from Georgetown is that there isn't mutual interest. Clearly, I could be totally off on that.

I don’t think he’s related to Otto.. Otto has a older cousin named Mike, maybe he has 2 I’m not sure but it seems like his younger cousin Mike would either talk about him or a reporter would have asked him about it by now. Also I think the staff would be all over this kid if true…

I can't copy the link right now, but there's a video out there of this kid dunking practically from the free throw line. It would be a crazy athletic play for a pro, much less college kid, much less high schooler. Man, I hope he's Otto's cousin!

We should endow a Porter Family Scholarship. All their kids get to come to GU and the ones that can ball suit up. Seems reasonable...

I don't think this Michael Porter is Otto's cousin. This Michael Porter's aunt is the Missouri women's basketball head coach and his dad is one of her assistants. His dad is originally from Louisiana.

Otto does have a cousin named Michael, and this is him: www.gosoutheast.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5731I suppose it's not impossible for him to have multiple cousins named Michael Porter, but I'm skeptical that he's related to the 2017 prospect.

Hoyas not on his list, from Rivals: At midnight on June 14, college coaches were allowed to begin making phone calls directly to members of the class of 2017. In an effort to try and limit the madness, the No. 2 player in the class, Michael Porter made a first "cut" to his list. A 6-foot-8 small forward from Columbia (Mo.) Father Tolton with a sweet jump shot and deep range, Porter trimmed his list to a group of 17 schools. Obviously, there are going to be many on this list that won't stand much of a chance, but it is a list Porter reported as his cut list. Making the cut were Arizona, Baylor, Duke, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Syracuse, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UCLA, Virginia and Washington. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1775060
