Would someone post a list of any available 2014 bigs after the fall signing period? How about potential transfers with immediate eligibility?

Not sure where to find a seniors with eligibility list ... Easy... call Oregon's basketball coach.

Unless he's a complete jerk, JT3 and staff should call Myles Turner and explain the situation. There will be a lot of playing time from the start.

Just watched a little bit of a high school game on ESPNU, and Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas had two international bigs that looked decent. Ruben Guerrero (6'10" from Spain) looked pretty athletic, good skillset, and good basketball IQ. The other guy was Dusan Ristic (7'0" from Serbia), and was bigger and stronger than Guerrero but not quite as athletic. However, Ristic had good skills and footwork for a 7 footer. Both are 2014; I heard the announcers mention Ristic was unsigned, but I didn't hear them talk about Guerrero's recruitment. Does anyone know if we've checked on these two kids? Neither was a high-level athlete, but I think their skillset would be perfect for our offensive system.

Yaboy -
Are we on any of these guys? Does it seem like we are looking at 2014 options?

Can't hurt to take a look, no stone unturned..

Very few teams are probably on him because he got to the states less than a week ago… There was a rumor earlier in January that he had committed to Arizona but I think thats false. So at this point only school I see mentioned with him is Arizona but you can expect every coach in the country that needs a big to be interested. Hopefully somehow the staff gets an alert about the young 7footer. Draftexpress has him as the #9 international prospect www.draftexpress.com/profile/Dusan-Ristic-6363/

"Struggles to finish around the rim in traffic due to limited leaping ability. Rarely dunks the ball Not a fiery or intense personality. Lets smaller players take loose balls right out of his hands at times -Lacks toughness inside the paint. Doesn't seem to love contact"
Sounds like he meets all the requirements to be a Georgetown big already. Sign him up.

I read this post before the one above it, and I assumed you were talking about Mikael.

Alex Kline @therecruitscoop 1h RT @coreyevans_10: Indiana has offered 2014 Sunrise Christian (KS) big man Ruben Guerrero. IU is dying for a big in their 2014 class too..

From the little I saw, I liked Guerrero better than the Serbian kid. More versatile and athletic; would be nice at the 5 to go with Copeland/White/Peak.....

So with Poythress and Dakari coming back, UK will have Cauley Stein, Poythress, Dakari, Marcus Lee, Karl Towns and Trey Lyles next year. That's 6 five star bigs when we can't even get one. And there's just not enough playing time for them all. Wouldn't you think at least 1 or 2 would want to decommit at this point? I'm guessing its too late but it's amazing to me that elite bjgs will continue to sign UK when this could happen. The funny thing is if the Harrison twins leave they will only have 3 guards on the roster and no small forwards.

The funny thing is if the Harrison twins leave they will only have 3 guards on the roster and no small forwards. It's nuts that with all the talent on that roster, they're going to have to play someone out of position at the 3 next year. It's either going to be Poythress (some draft services call him a "small forward" or combo, but he doesn't have the shooting touch and is really an undersized 4 at 6'7") or... I don't know, Devin Booker, the 6'5" SG they have coming in? I guess Aaron Harrison could try, too, IF he and his brother come back (which is 50/50 if that). And playing a guard out of position doesn't help the other problem you've pointed out that they will have (per ESPN) 7 (possibly 5) total guards total on the roster. This includes 4 players with 56 total career minutes of playing time, and rising sophomore Dominique Hawkins who did play 283 minutes this year, but was 9/31 from the field (2/16 from 3) and 5/13 on FTs. So if the Harrisons declare for the draft, Calipari will have Ulis, Booker... and then these other 5. Or am I missing something? I genuinely might be.

Will be interesting to see the trickle down effect though. Assuming the frosh get little playing time that would push leaving until they are sophs so may affect '15 recruiting. Wishful thinking? Will be interesting to see. Won't be able to keep people happy with minutes that's for sure
