OK, the win streak starts on the road against the overconfident Bluejays who just drubbed Villanova at Nova.
Really.

I didn't think it was that exciting a statement. Somebody has to start the discussion somewhere. Well, it's more encouraging than "Is It October Yet?" But seriously...what's the attendance going to be like going forward? DC fans are fickle and games like this will drain the walk-up traffic. Butler, Providence, Xavier...this may have been the largest student turnout going forward.

Fickle? More like smart. Why pay for tickets, brave the cold weather, etc.. for that product? Build up a winner and they will come.

We can certainly start a gloom and doom thread projecting lagging attendance, but this is a thread about a road game. The students were fine at the Marquette game tonight - they were not the problem. The 30-40% empty seats in the lower bowl belonging to "supporters" of the team, on the other hand...

Two teams racing in the COMPLETE opposite direction lately. This should be fun.

At this rate, see you next year. this season ended when josh smith got suspended. he at least kept defenders honest. we probably win tonight and the seton hall games with him in the lineup....... i was pretty sure our at large bid popped after Seton Hall but tonight was the dagger. right now the only way we make the ncaa is if we win the BET which i give us about a 2 percent chance to do.....

IF we get bril back and he can tone it down a little, and just give us strong D and a few points here and there; and IF we somehow get Josh back and can at least make teams have to at least THINK about defending the paint - who knows?

we have a great history of defending the three, from Ohio U thru last night We just have bad luck. Teams go off against us. At least Creighton got it against Villanova. They will not go off twice, right?!

we have a great history of defending the three, from Ohio U thru last night This is sadly true Jake Thomas hurt us in a bad way last night and we didn't do much about it. the biggest swing in my mind wasnt the missed one and one and caprio fouls (although both hurt very badly) but leaving Thomas open for a 3 to cut the lead down from 7 to 4 and then the transition dunk we gave up on the next play to cut the lead down to 2. sometimes, closing the game out means not letting it become close to begin with.... i can live with devonte gardner making 18 foot shots all night long. but 3 point defense and transition defense have been weak spots all season....

That dunk over DSR last night really foreshadowed how the game was going to turn out

The guys do keep fighting, can't question that. These losses must be eating them up
