Good points about Bradley.
Once again he is walking proof of what the Hoya staff can do with big men. I amazes me that guys go to these other programs and literally get no better with a back to the basket game. All kids improve as they get older just through growth. but when you look at some of these guys that have come through Gtown you can literally see the growth in actual skill. Happy for bradley

Hayes has a plan on offense and the plan is to take a couple dribbles and shoot the baby hook. And it's a really good plan. Keep doing it big fella.
On defense, he is mobile but his instincts aren't quite there. He can improve. Has to trust his ability to challenge shots by staying long and getting his hands up rather than lunging or jumping into guys when they drive to the hoop. He isn't a quick leaper and he isn't going to block a million shots, but he can be a good defender just by being long and in the right spots. Sit him down to watch some Hibbert film.

Bradley is trending towards becoming one of my all time favorite Hoyas. His transformation is miraculous, and such a contrast to Josh, who had enormous god given talent yet seemed to make the least of his talents. Thrilled to see someone make the most of theirs.

Brad's biggest liability thus far appears to be his lack of foot speed defensively. Otherwise, he's played well. Seems to know he can score once he gets position. He's taking good shots, usually, even when he misses.

I just wanted to say how impressed Ive been with BH at the end of last year and so far this year. I totally wrote him off as a stiff. I was wrong. I enjoy watching him play and hopefully have a solid SR year. He's 1000 times better than hopper or Lube ever was.

I could not agree more. I was very confused on when BH was placed in games at the end of last year due to foul troubles and he out played the "starters". Even after that they limited his minutes to the point where I thought he had broken team rules... In any event it is great to see him get serious minutes this year. I expect more improvement and we should make some noise in the BE. This is excited about our team as I have been in quite a while.

It's pretty remarkable that Hayes has 65 career points yet 48 pages of hoyatalk posts. We certainly love to scrutinize the details. That said, I could not be happier that his hard work is paying off for him.

He looks alot more muscular and bigger than he did even 7 months ago during the NCAA tourney. His body has really transformed. Before he could get pushed around because he was skinny but now he's basically immovable at the college level and is a force in the paint.

That said, I could not be happier that his hard work is paying off for him. This is mainly due to having players like Moses, Hopkins, Nate & Josh man the front-court over the last few seasons.. Fixed it for myself..

I don't think so, I think Bradley has very good foot speed for a center; it's just that he consistently tries to guard smaller, quicker players who aren't centers (either by switching or hubris).

I would never say "very good" foot speed - but at least average foot speed.

Like I said above, foot speed looks a little slow to me.

The paint is going to be packed tomorrow. Thus, there will be plenty of open 3s tomorrow and Ryan will challenge us to make them. The team needs to hit the open 3's to help Bradley with spacing. Will this be Reggie's breakout game? Will DSR finally be the aggressive player he needs to be in his final season? Will he repeat last year's performance vs. Wisconsin?
MSG? Meet Mr. Hayes!

One thing I would like to see is Bradley pass out more when he gets the ball down low. Teams are going to start aggressively doubling him to take away the dribble and hook.
Keep it up Bradley!

He's definitely been a little slow with the decisions once he's got the ball. I agree with you -- pass out once in a while and reset, sometimes leads to even easier buckets.

True, but I can forgive him for that. He is concentrating on getting off good, aggressive shots, and he has accomplished that very well so far this season. Keep it up!

He wasn't part of the other team's gameplan. After two games of being the high scorer, and vs. Ryan, I think Bradley will have a crowded paint around him. Today might be the perfect opportunity to try the pass out. BUT, the shooter must make their 3s.

Happy for bradley Wait, now it's the staff's development of Hayes that's made him the starter? Pretty much everyone's development in college is one part staff providing the roadmap and skills teaching and many parts the player for working on it. The idea that it is 100% one or the other is silly. So is the idea that most players don't improve their technical skills at Georgetown significantly.
