9/12 - IAC Groundbreaking Day - what better way to dazzle these kids than with million $$ NBA donors. Are you suggesting the cheesy, big cardboard checks?? Call the Stonewalls!

Yes! Awesome scheduling by the staff, the kid and his girlfriend... I would think Bacon may also want to come on Midnight Madness to see his girlfriend introduced?? Unofficially

1 of Bacon, Dozier, and Crawford would be very, very nice and is my expectation given the mutual interest shown by all parties.

zagsblog.com/articles/dwayne-bacon-to-visit-fsu-georgetown-tennessee/Dwayne Bacon, a 6-foot-6 5-star shooting guard from Oak Hill Academy (Va.), will trip to Florida State this weekend and also has visits set for Georgetown (Sept. 12) and Tennessee (Oct. 4), Oak Hill coach Steve Smith told SNY.tv Wednesday morning.
Bacon also visited USC last weekend, while Oklahoma State, SMU and Auburn are among those “trying to get him to visit,” Smith said.
Still, FSU — which will also host 7-4 Jean Marc Christ Koumadje of the Showtime Ballers AAU program this weekend — has always been considered in strong position for Bacon.
“I just like that they’re up front with me,” Bacon said of FSU in July. “I can come in and help them right away, so they say, and I’m looking forward to coming in a helping a school right away. That’s a big part of my decision, just being comfortable with the coach.”

So that's Beasly and Mann to Florida St who arguably play the same position as Bacon.

I don't get these kids these days. Whats the point of scheduling an official visit if your gonna commit to your first choice.

Somebody over at 247 sports is having fun at our expense they've got Bacon committed to Georgetown. If this was only true.

This is also in a stacked ACC (at a school where football is priority number 1, 2 and 3) where nobody cares about FSU basketball. I know they are teens but what are these kids thinking?

Seems like we were always on the outside looking in here. Staff never felt comfortable with where we stood.

For two months now it was a longhot the Hoyas would get Bacon. For some reason he has been a heavy lean towards FSU for awhile now. Maybe he just prefers to stay closer to home.

But if Dozier was to commit to Gtown before he visited UNC and South Carolina I don't think you would take issue with such a scenario. Also factor in that recruits often tired of all the travelling and decide to get the process over with before taking all of their official visits. Happens all the time.

In some ways, it's like regular college visits for non-athletes. Parents often force their children to visit certain schools they aren't interested in. There are probably similar pressures from parents, coaches, advisers, etc. to use up all the official visits available. The big difference is that regular admissions cannot commit when they go to a place, whereas athletes can. My guess is Bacon was always an FSU lean but scheduled his visit to Georgetown simply because he had another visit open, plus his girlfriend is there (free trip to DC).

I'll buy that approach but I feel that there maybe a hint of immaturity in Bacon, this may have been a blessing in disguise for us.

I think the more obvious hint of immaturity is that he's in high school.
