We should be all over Carr. Sit 1, play 3?

Lol—-the first highlight was the one thing Mulmore could do well. And then 2 highlights later, it was the same thing. Fortunately, throughout the rest of clip he showed some good overall PG skills.

I’d love to be on Carr, as long as we are also committed to finding a PG/CG for next year. This speaks to why I don’t think taking another developmental big like Frink at this point is the right move.

Direct quote during interview Yes that’s what he’s looking at, but I’d rather us focus both open scholarships on the backcourt. The one caveat is if we can get a real difference maker like EJ Montgomery, that’s different. But barring that, this team really needs an infusion of guard talent for next year and beyond.

I guess we can stockpile talent and let the chips fall. Meaning that some kids may end up as subs. Never know who is going to make the biggest leap.

I'm not saying we're at this point... but if there are 2 spots open and we're only left with 200-400 range options (i.e. not sure about helping right away), I'd rather have 2 guards than a guard/big combo.
Find quality in quantity.

I will defer to the staff to make the performance judgements on these recruits, but I would prefer to wait for a kid, either guard or big man, who they really like, then just fill a scholarship so we can say we use all the available spots. Even if they go with a grad transfer and use the scholarship again next year in '19, I think they need to get the type of quality players that Coach Ewing needs to play the system he envisions. Projecting some of these lower rated players and hoping they develop, can fill the program with too many marginal players, which is what has caused them problems the last few years. I hope the staff does not settle for anyone they are not completely sold on.

And there's no need to take kids simply to fill open spots. Until we get a real backcourt, though - and in the absence of 4/5 star guards - I'd be happy to take a few fliers there. Only 9 of 13 are gonna play anyway. There's room for a few mulligans.

Stifling the urge to ask if Moses Ayegba has any eligibility left.

This kid caught my eye when I watched his Shaker team vs Alonzo Gaffney. There's not a lot of weaknesses in his game and he has nice size for the position. Think he's a bit undervalued at the moment. Tough, athletic, skilled, and plays with a chip, he would ft right in with kids like Mac, Akinjo, and Leblanc.
