Ponds had an astonishing 51 stls in 18 Eybl games.... Yakwe is a really good defensive big. Only 6'8 but led EYBL in Blocks, high motor kid.

This clip of Powell reminds me of DSR.. Beautiful shot mechanics.. The staff needs to look into this kid, he scored 23 yesterday while going 5-8 from 3.. He's 68-172 from 3(39.5%) in the EYBL this year..

I have doubts but tbh all I know about this kid is HL tapes and his impressive statlines.. What do you think E?

He can definitely tighten up physically for sure but Once he gets with G'town's S&C team his chubbiness will be a distant memory.. Seriously though I like his make-up, he's at least worth talking to imo.. He really reminds me of DSR in his game and the way he carries himself, every article seems to mention how confident he is and imo there's nothing bad about that.. He fits G'town's system pretty well too This was a blurb from a Scout article after the NBPA top 100 camp.. Rob Harrington also stated that Powell is a much better ball handler than he's given credit for Shooting guard Myles Powell was a late addition to the NBPA Top 100 Camp. Powell, who is known for his ability to really stroke the basketball from deep, made the most of his invitation to camp, and proved he belonged.
“I am here to prove that I am more than just a shooter,” said Powell. “I think I am showing people I can pass and also create off the dribble. Everybody knows I can shoot, but I have been working on my all-around game.”Scout Analysis - Powell is a good shooter who also handles well for the wing and is a fine passer on the move. Albeit not a great run/jump athlete, he's a confident player who has challenged himself against the nation's toughest competition.

He does look heavy, I was going to comment on that myself before I read your post. Also he's only between 6-0/6-1. So he's an undersized shooting guard.

I realize that Georgetown recruiting is often not something that we can fully know given the lack of public information, but I was wondering if anybody has an opinion on the top 5-10 guys we are currently after? It seems like at this point last year it was a clearer picture (granted, we basically got none of them, but it seemed like the focus was pretty clear). I know people seem to think Bracey will commit in September. Who else would you say might be a realistic commit?

A team comprised of players from various African Nations.. Thanks for that information. I was wondering if "Pan Africa" could also mean Africa and the African diaspora or just continental Africa.

Kieran Hayward
Recent import from Australia class of 2016. Has some MM's looking and a couple HM like Creighton also keeping tabs.
Kid has some bounce, nice stroke and a handle... Might be worth taking a look

Shamorie Ponds -- Ponds is an offensive minded point guard and can even play as a small two. He backed up his recent move up to No. 45 nationally and was an effective player. Because of fast hands he has a chance to be an outstanding defender and he averaged right around 13 points, three rebounds and two assists per game. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1783649

6-11 from 3.. In fairness he had a rough 1st game going 0-4 from 3.. Young man can shoot the rock.. Another 30pt game from Powell.. He shot 14-30 from 3 in the tourney.. His 1st 30pt game came against Malik Monk, Trent Forrest(Fla.St.) & Alterique Gilbert(Uconn).. Pretty impressive.. www.d1circuit.com/game/show/10947937?referrer=1984015&subseason=235987&referrer=1984015The staff needs new backcourt targets for 2016 now that Winston & Carr have moved on plus Jones is an IU lean.. They can't kick the can down the road any longer imo.. I'll keep repeating it, to me Powell is a DSR clone.. Show him how DSR has developed at G'town and I'd bet my house they'd have an excellent shot at landing him.. He's transferring to South Kent for his Sr. year, which makes me thinks he's still very open.. I like his buddy Mosely a lot too.. www.krossover.com/blog/2015/07/myles-powell-and-jagan-mosely-interview/
