There's no evidence online that we were, and "Coach Rick" doesn't seem to have too many scoops.
Seems like a "we checked in once or twice" situation, but maybe there was more.

Does anybody have anything on Davon Dillard? This kid would look pretty nice playing along side Peaks and Campbell in the back court.

The Big East should add VCU. If we could trade VCU for DePaul I'd take that in a heartbeat.

Heck, why not just have UConn end its unwise foray into the world of D-1 football, and welcome back the Huskies in place of DePaul?
That's as likely, at this juncture, as bringing in VCU.
A lot of VCU's appeal is due to the presence of a sensational young coach in Shaka Smart, and the tremendous accomplishments he has attained for the basketball program. If we could look into the future, after Smart departs VCU for greener pastures, and see that the Ram basketball program would continue at its present level, I think that there is a better chance of seeing an expansion of the Big East into Richmond, Virginia. I don't know that the program would stay at that lofty level once he leaves.

I don't know that the program would stay at that lofty level once he leaves. Smart has been leaving for greener pastures for awhile now NJ.. Even if he does leave, the school has capitalized on his success by doing things to make itself attractive to other good coaches.. G'town is spending 60 million to build the IAC to enhance the athletic dept as a whole and it's a great thing to do.. VCU is spending 25 million on a practice facility just for basketball.. I think they'll be fine with or without Smart.. isportsweb.com/2014/09/07/vcu-basketball-rams-open-new-practice-facility-2015/

David Schneider @showtimenation Nov 13 2017 Ravenscroft (NC) PG Michael Okauru (@michaelokauru) picks up interest from Georgetown. #BigEast #T2SO showtimenation.com/database-2/ A closer look at Michael Okauru By Jamie Shaw Michael Okauru can flat go, he has great speed and length. Throughout the weekend people were talking about the point guard with the t-shirt. Okauru is slender, but don’t think he is frail. He attacks the rim with purpose, keeping his head high and the ball under control. Okauru describes himself as, ‘I am an all around player that does (and is able to do) whatever the coach needs of me.’ phenomhoopreport.com/a-closer-look-at-michael-okauru/www.thehoopscolumn.com/2014/08/22/ravenscroft-2017-sg-michael-okaru/ (scroll down for video)

James Blackburn @jamesjunior21 Michael Okauru (6'4", 2017, Ravenscroft) is an excellent passer who can get to the basket- liked his energy- D1 prospect #PhenomJamboree tbcnets.com/pangos-east-froshsoph-camp-top-prospects/ (info on a lot of young east coast prospects) Mike Okauru 6’3” 2017 Ravenscroft (RaleighNC) – This quick two man has a dream to play at Duke, and defensively he is on his way. He has length and quick feet, and anticipates with best in camp. He hit three and has handle to create dribble drive and finish with bounce. Good student will ge lots of high major looks in the future.

David Beatty 6’3” 2017 Archbishop Carroll (Radnor PA) – Athletic scorer with quick first step who showed he ca score with best at Pangos. He needs to realize he has teammates, that would make him more effective in the long run, but he has tools. He hit open jumper, but needs to know what is good hot. Tools are there, but needs to mature…He will get lots of D-1 looks! tbcnets.com/pangos-east-froshsoph-camp-top-prospects/

Simon Ejike Obinna 6’10” 2017 VirginiaAcademy (VA) – This long and active shot blocker just seemed to get better and better as the weekend progressed. He has long arms, can rebound out of his zone and showed a nice touch with jump hook and kiss off the glass o the blocks. He can really run the court and is going to be one that high majors will be all over by spring! tbcnets.com/pangos-east-froshsoph-camp-top-prospects/

Corey Evans @coreyevans_10 3m3 minutes ago Curtis Jones displaying a vastly improved physique which has enabled greater athleticism and quickness in open floor. Game on the uptick
