Larry Austin in 22 EYBL games attempted only 13 3’s total and made 3. He shot 58% from the FT line and 40% overall… At 6’1 if he doesn’t or hasn’t improved his shooting it’s going to be tough. He did average close to 5 assists a game in Eybl though but he did not run the point for his HS team this year unfortunately... Well you certainly know better than I do about specifics. I was just getting philosophical for a minute I guess. Like I said, I'm glad I'm not the one having to make these decisions. Nah your analysis was spot on (Bird in the hand…)…. Just not sold on him personally, would take Peters though..

Yup... Derrickson needs to be much more assertive in his play.. Caleb Swanigan looks like a player though..

SE Elite @sestormelite 27m Schools watching our 8:00 16U game tonight. Bama, AU, Arkansas, UF, A&M, MSU, Vandy, Murray, UAB, UCF, Gtown, Baylor, OSU, Memphis & Houston
Four members of the 2017 Southeast Elite (AL) group impressed on the U15 circuit. As their U16 group - which also features numerous 2017 players - was pretty impressive, this group was even more dominant. The key players were R.J. Moon, Garrison Brooks, Alex Reese and Brad Anderson. Brooks - the son of Mississippi State assistant George Brooks

Sean Moran @seanmohoops 17m Boo Williams pulling away against The Family, 54-45 with 6:40 to go. Kenny Williams has two threes in the second half.
Kenny Williams from Virginia who plays for Boo Williams squad is lighting it up at the EYBL..
He's a 6-3 kid who has hit 13-20 from 3.. Could be another Robert Johnson type kid..
Has anyone local seen him play live?

Seated next to Wisc and UCONN coaches. @hoyas247 I hope Sharma puts in a good performance in Dallas. I know were not his favorite at the moment but we do have a offer for him IAW 247 sports. IMO Rabb is the clear #1, with Chance and Skai at a close second/third and then Sharma when looking at the prototype athletic 7-footer PF/C. With that in mind, I'm glad to hear the staff is recruiting as hard as they are cause I'm afraid Rabb and Chance may not want to come to the East Coast. After reading the article on Josh Sharma I would think GU would be a nice fit. www.bostonglobe.com/metro/regionals/west/2014/03/09/lexington-footer-josh-sharma-has-high-ceiling-court/lGi1Myh2I2Uba6GcwHibmO/story.html

Personally, I think I'd rather have Rabb or Chance but then not sure where he fits with Skal and the rest.

How do you feel about Govan in your rankings? Personally, I think I'd rather have Rabb or Chance but then not sure where he fits with Skal and the rest. Having a true center that can bang with the likes of a Davante Gardner is always a plus. Although I haven't seen much of Govan's work, I hope he can provide that type of inside presence and create space for a cutting DSR. Ivan Rabb on the other hand, ranks #1 as far as a PF/C. He's very mobile, athletic, and seems to have a very solid all around skill set. He's my first choice. IMO a mobile 7-footer that can step out and hit the three or the occasional mid-range jumper and block a few shoots on the defensive end would be golden. So to answer your question we need both!!!! Another point to consider given all the changes I've seen in JT3's offense as of late. If we get a Rabb or a Chance does this mean that we're going to run more or are we going to amp up the half court offense with high post plays and step outs (Hibbert from the arc).

Jackson Clarke @premium_Hoopers Xavier, Georgetown, Butler and Providence are all in the mix for 2014 G Larry Austin Jr. Visiting Xavier this weekend. This is a little surprising to me. We've got two guards already in 2014, plus it looks like me might bring in two more guards in 2015. He's another relatively short PG like Tre also. Does this mean the staff likes Austin better than some of the 2015 guards? Are they not confident in getting some of their favorite guard prospects in 2015? Oh well, bring in talented players and let them battle it out for pt...

He seems more like a Jabril level handle which I don't want to count on during crunch time. Everyone keeps saying that out offense doesn't need guards to run the offense, but how many times did Markel take over a game for us last season because he could beat his man off the dribble? What if DSR gets injured? Count me in the camp that says we need another guard, not Austin necessarily, but someone.
