Alright it is next year and we should all be ecstatic. This is our best team in at least five and maybe ten years. So what to watch?
1. DO's return. Will it happen? People read the awkward pause as a negative. Remember, he's listed as a senior so that might mean the opposite. Either way, we'll see if he returns. It should be interesting.
2. The last recruit. Will we get one? If so, who will it be? Thomas, Rush, and Ndiaye are on the table. Any one of those is huge for our team. It should be resolved in a month.
3. Green's development. He's the only all-conference freshman in the Big East. How will he handle the offseason? I don't think there is any question but let's watch and see.
4. Is Hibbert a 7'3 fish out of water? Princeton has been only partially kind to our giant friend Roy. Is he slated as a possible starter? Is he a 20-25 minute backup? Or is he in a blackhole of 15 minute action by circumstance?
5. Running Ten. The team returns at the very least seven contributors (Wallace, Cook, Bowman, Green, Hibbert, Reed, Wallace) and adds a few recruits who should go immediately. Will this team run more next year? Is it NC State or a whole new ballgame for the Hoyas?
6. Surprising youth? After tough first halves, Reed and Crawford have improved substatially. How much can they add next year?
7. Transfers? Who will it be?
8. Beginner's luck? I put this down but can't believe it. The Hoyas won as many (@'Nova, @pitt) as they should have won(@st. Johns, Providence). The Hoyas are a legitimate 8-8 team returning everyone and with a first-year coach. Will that translate to success next year?
Only 8 questions. Feel free to add as you see fit.
