Guys, thanks for the coverage of Kenner. Nothing seems surprising so far. I would like to know what's going on with Lubick. Really hope he is practicing his mid range jumpers. The main report has me feeling a little bit worried about people we really need contributions from in the upcoming season. We need Ayegbe and Bowen to come on strong. Again, thanks! Why are you worried? Most summers we get KL reports from the masses that stress how the players are kind of disappointing, have a bunch of flaws to work out and are not where we expect (hope) them to be. And then some of those same players go out and make positive contributions to successful teams during the BE regular season. Why should it be any different now? Heck, KL performances are almost a lose-lose situation. If the players fail to live up to expectations in the KL it portends a rough season ahead. If the players perform well in the KL people go around reminding folks that we shouldn't make any Final Four reservations based upon play in a summer league. As for Bowen what has he done wrong that should concerns anyone? The dude has barely played so far this summer. As for Nate...well, he almost always pulls a no-show in the first week or two of the KL. Nothing has changed here. Frankly he and Bowen should probably switch teams. At least Bowen is ready to put in the work.

MCIGuy, I appreciate the reminder. As I was creating the post I thought about the subjectivity that could be involved in the report. On the one hand we are relying on the reports; on the other hand the reports are just a perspective open to interpretations. However, I do want the reporters to know that we do appreciate their perspectives on Kenner play. However your points are well taken.

What Bradley showed yesterday was ahead of what Roy was doing going into his Junior year on offense, but a bit behind on defense. Given that he can get up and down the court well and the other benefits of his game it could be nice to see him time smaller Big East teams some headaches. You might have your years mixed up. The summer going into his junior year (summer 2006) Roy had probably the most dominant Kenner League in the 10 years I've attended. He was pretty much a guaranteed 25/10 every game. He had a 39/20 in one of the playoff games. It was pretty clear...shoot, by the previous season's NCAA Tournament...that he was in for big things. I think a Rule of Three is prudent for Kenner League: don't even attempt projections about a player until you've watched at least three of their games. (Really, it should be the entire KL, but what would a message board do otherwise? ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) ) One common reason for the Rule of Three: some Kenner League games are duds not worth evaluating. The Clyde's game Sunday was like that: Clyde's played with five players against a half-townie team in an uptempo game (it was 102-82, the previous game was 66-44) that was at least 10 minutes pure garbage time. The entire Clyde's team was dead tired before the first half ended. At a certain point, you just aren't going to get any meaningful insight watching guys run and chuck. It happens.

Here's the updated schedule they were giving out on sunday- who knows if there will be more changes!
SATURDAY 1pm- Premier Athletic vs. On Point (Ayegba) 2:15- Higher Level vs. Jamar Board all-stars 3:30- Clyde's (Domingo, hayes, maybe J. Wallace) vs. Takeover (Hopkins, Trawick) 4:45- Ooh's and Aahhs vs. Tombs (DSR, Smith, Cameron) 6 - Sills & Scrimmages vs. Symond's all stars (Caprio)
SUNDAY 1pm - Symond's vs. DCX (Starks, Lubick) 2:15 - Tombs vs Premier athletic 3:30- Clydes vs. Skills & Scrimmages 4:45 - Jamar Board all stars vs. Oohhs and Aahhs 6 - On Point vs. Higher level (even though moses is the only hoya in this game, should be a really good one. marcus thornton's team vs. a bunch of good George Mason guys - including Byron Allen, who has been the best kenner player this year along with Thornton; and will Thomas, a very solid 4/5 from their final four team)

Yes, years mixed up with Roy. The defense where Hayes was continually getting caught up was in the first 15 minutes of the first half when he got his first 4 fouls. Like I had stated he was in coverage he likely would not be in during BE play, or maybe he could be in the revamped BE. But, part of what had him caught up was covering a 3 on the wing, which he likely wouldn't. After his 4th foul Bradley may have only had one more foul (if that, I wasn't tracking). But, he moved more to a post defender role mostly, within the KL zone/lane rules. That said, I deeply agree with the Rule of Three. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Hayes and others can do.

Here's the updated schedule they were giving out on sunday- who knows if there will be more changes! The schedule posted at McDonough was the same as the previously posted pdf with the games from July 7 & 27 switched. Everything else, besides a couple of team names, was the same. As you say, who knows if there will be more changes.

Bowen's stated team is A Wash, but also played in with DCX last weekend too. Those posting box scores do a decent job of highlighting GU players no matter what team(s) they play on. Hopefully Bowen with grab time with one of the teams playing this weekend.

I've not looked on Twitter, but Moses wasn't playing for his team today and doesn't look to be in the gym.

Hoyas247 @hoyas247 42m Takeover beats Clydes 71-57. Hopkins leads all scorers with 23 points, Trawick chips in 11. Hayes and Domingo both finish with 10 a piece.
Hoyas247 @hoyas247 41m Can't begin to say how impressive Mikael Hopkins looked in that last game. Scored in many different ways and played strong defense. #Hoyas

Ben Standig @benstandig 5m It's Kenner League so we won't go crazy, but...D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera is now chiseled, strong running the offense, still making J's. #hoyas
Ben Standig @benstandig 1h Jabril "JaBron" Trawick certainly got his dunk on today. Now he needs to junk that orange jersey he's got on.

I saw Moses show up to McDonough for the Tombs game, wearing a suit. Looks like he had something more important going on than attending Kenner League this afternoon. I wish I could have said the same thing.
