Was I the only one that immediately thought about the matchup between Greg and Wiggins next year? Could be a fun one to watch.

Lets just hope that Greg is able to play next year. I would not try and put him in the super player category yet. He did not prove a thing last year.

Flying to Toronto, Wiggins' home town, tomorrow. I will check around to see his shortcomings.

Kansas has a lot of great talent coming in and will be very good next year. Lets just hope they haven't completely gelled by the time we play them. It will be a good measuring stick for Greg to go up against Andrew.

Not to mention start giving him the respect he deserves...didn't prove a thing my a$$. What did Greg prove last year? He did not even play at the end of the season, when we really needed him. Stop putting our players on a pedestal before they have earned it. They need to remain hungry and work to reach the level we would like them to reach, not praised before they have done anything of worth. By that, I mean the player should have played and contributed on a consistent basis, and, of course, helped the team to win. Agree!

People are forgetting. We play Kansas in December. Of course we will win this game. We will probably dominate them. We own November and December. (Yes, I am still bitter two months later.)

How many home non-conference games has Kansas lost in the last, say, 20 years?

He proved that he could potentially be the most versatile and best defender in GU history. He proved that he could board at a rate similar to Otto (a top 5 pick who has rebounding as one of his top strengths). He proved that he can be the man when called upon (when Otto was out). He proved he can be a dependable scorer even when his jumpshot is not falling. He proved to us that he stepped his game up from freshman year and is candidate for early departure. It's not putting him on a pedestal, he is the best overall player we have returning (he affects the game in more ways than Markel, IMO and I love Markel). I'm sorry you don't like him because he accidentally slept through a final. The profs and coaches felt it would be good to make an example of him. He learned his lesson and has served his time. He has always been a supportive teammate and never once hung his head while he had to sit out. Give him a break he was punished, and by all accounts he and his teammates are excited and ready for next season.

i would actually put JT on him I think Greg's length would bother Wiggins more than Jabril but I do agree Jabril should guard him for stretches to give Greg a break and make Wiggins play though some physciality

Give him a break he was punished, and by all accounts he and his teammates are excited and ready for next season. Don't get me wrong. I like Greg also, but in order to get the best our of people, you don't praise them before they earn it. Just like tough love with our kids, we don't give them rewards based solely on potential. They will come to take things for granted without earning them. I, too, expect great things from him next season. First, lets wait and see!!!

Looking at the rankings (Rivals) of the Kansas Freshman coming in next year, they are #1, #12, #25, #29 and #34.

Who will be favored going into this game in December, The Hoyas with upper classmen or the Jayhawks with freshmen?
