aren't students gone for Easter break starting Thursday? Hopefully DC-area alums can fill up the place if UNLV wins the game. UNLV-SC get actual professional announcers, Nessler and Lavin, as opposed to the ridiculousness that was Strader and JAHvis.

What are everyone's thoughts on Student turnout for a Thursday game? How many students will stick around for such a game?
Regardless, I am rooting for UNLV -- I missed tonight's game because my 7 month old son was puking his face off, so I am hoping for one for chance to see our Hoyas at McD!!
The crowd sounded INCREDIBLE on TV!! Good work students, alums, DoPS officers . . . all in attendance, you did us proud tonight!

Student turnout will be limited to area kids, crazies who can change their travel plans and me (I'm staying til Fri. morning b/c my friend's 21st is at midnight on Fri).

That's my guess. I was being sarcastic. Actually, you weren't too far off, Jersey, because if the game were played out here, I might have had to miss it due to prior commitments, and missing a game with the Hoyas out here would be the ultimate in frustration. So, if the Hoyas get to play them at McD, go rebs.

Looking like a moot point, at least at this point... South Carolina up early against the Rebels, 27-13, 7:43 to go in 1st half. But still a lot of time left...

I know it's not over, but with less than 8 minutes left in the first half, UNLV is already down 14. Doesn't look like we'll have to worry about students coming back....

Was I seeing/imagining things, or did Dave Odom call that timeout with about 15 seconds left just to tell the home announcer to make the announcement about the SC-GTown tickets going on sale tomorrow morning? That's a new one.

I have a bad feeling about TV for Thursday. The official NIT bracket lists the other three quarterfinals on ESPN, but not GU-SC. It does show a date of 3/24 (no opponents yet), so that is not encouraging. 216.197.108.8/sj/cache/post-bracket.cfmESPN's primetime schedule does not look promising either. sports.espn.go.com/sports/tvlistings/index?date=20050324I know they are up against the Sweet 16, but this is frustrating. I was worried about skipping class to get to the game at McDonough, but if I can't even see it I am not going to be a happy man. Oh, and stop cramming women's basketball down my throat, I don't care, I never will care, and Pat Summit scares me.

This sucks bad. We can only hope for some webcast, because TV doesn't look good.

There is this from GUHoyas.com:
TBD is better than nothing, maybe there is some way Newschannel 8 picks up the game or something like that. Or maybe ESPN will reconsider showing the women's trick shot championship on the Deuce.

How about they "D" time and tv soon so I can get to work on convincing a sports bar out here in AZ to show me the game on a little TV?

According to the ESPN website, ESPN Full Court coverage ends March 22, so there's no hope of that either, if there was any to begin with.
If none of the ESPN channels show the game, can Fox Sports or a local channel pick it up? Or does ESPN have exclusive rights to NIT coverage?

This should just about settle it: "USC will host Georgetown in the quarterfinals of the NIT on Thursday, March 24 at 7:30 pm at the Colonial Center. The game will not be televised. The winner of the USC/Georgetown game will advance to the NIT semi-finals in Madison Square Garden next Tuesday night (March 29)." uscsports.collegesports.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/032305aae.html

That sucks. Maybe they'll do another webcast on guhoyas.com though. They definately should if they can--I know I'll watch (even if I have to pay for it).
