Games like this will be missed in the new conference. Could be the largest crowd in Carrier Dome history this weekend. This. Is. Big. Time. Cuse has already announced this will be their largest crowd as they have sold 35,012 tickets already. my question is are they selling anymore or did they announce the attendance because they are done selling tickets? Just read somewhere on twitter they're still 150+ tickets still available

Does this make it the largest regular season crowd in NCAA history?

Does this make it the largest regular season crowd in NCAA history? There was a Mich State regular season game at Ford Field not too long ago that had like 80,000 fans. Guess that shouldn't count though.

Guess that shouldn't count though. "On campus" looks like answer is yes - from AP yesterday: "The total ticket count for Saturday's matchup is 35,012, which breaks the Carrier Dome's previous NCAA record for an on-campus college basketball crowd in the regular season. The old mark of 34,616 was set Feb. 27, 2010, when the Orange hosted Villanova."

This is one game where I think we good really use Whit's length.

This is one game where I think we good really use Whit's length. This. He would be perfect either guarding Sutherland or MCW. He will be missed.

Jabril on MCW is huge. He has to keep him out the paint. I'd love GW in this match up.

My guess is that if he were to come back, it will be for Rutgers or @nova. All midterms should be complete and graded by that point, so he would have the chance to prove himself with those grades, if that is in fact the issue and what they are checking on.

And so it begins. The Battle for final Big East supremacy. The chance to determine who is the best all time in the BE. The things the Hoyas will do Saturday will echo through the ages. The Hoyas closed Manley. Let 35,012 orange losers witness the Hoyas do the same in the Dome Saturday.

This would be a good time to announce he's magically eligible again coach! Good point Hungry. What better place to magically return from academic suspension than Syracuse -- where all kinds of orangemen have magically returned from innumerable suspensions - academic, criminal, whatever.

I am so fired up for this game it is a little unhealthy - I actually find myself wanting to be in Syracuse NY for the first time in my life (though I will in fact be on a couch in North Carolina, which is probably better for everyone). That said, let's cut the "Dome is officially closed" bs - sadly, the only thing that is closing this year is the Big East Conference as we knew it, and my nightmare is hearing Magoo sneer "the Big East is officially closed" on March 16.

I'll be going to the Dome for my first Hoya-Orange game since Michael Jackson dropped 30 on the bad guys as a freshman in a Hoya win. I am now old enough and wise enough not to put myself in mortal danger - but if the Hoyas pull this off, as I truly believe they can, I may not be able to contain my celebration. Hopefully the bottom-feeding SU fans will respect rheir elders enough to let me get out of the Dome still intact. Hoya Saxa.

This is one game where I think we good really use Whit's length. This. He would be perfect either guarding Sutherland or MCW. He will be missed. I think Greg's biggest value would be allowing us to play zone with his length out front. If you cheat on Southerland, they are very inconsistent outside, and they have virtually no inside game other than the guards driving and Fair maneuvering for his 10-12 footers. An active zone gives them real trouble, but you need the length out front to prevent open shots, not sure we have that right now.
