JT III has offered to
D.J. Augustin, PG Jawan Carter, PG Marques Johnson, SG Duke Crews, PF
Seems we are looking to fill holes all over the roster

That makes sense - we will still need depth at every position, although it looks like we are stockpiling guards, unless JTIII doesn't expect all of them to still be here by Fall '06

Air -
For the benefit of those not closely attuned to recruiting, how do these guys stack up in the various (and usually flawed) rankings of HS players? I've seen the first three a few times in previous posts, but don't recall seeing anything on Crews before.
Thanks.

D.J. Augustin, PG 5'11" 160lbs is a five star recruit out of New Orleans. He is regarded as the #1 PG in the class of 2006 by Rivals and the 14th best player overall. Would be an absolute steal. Supposedly LSU, WF, UT and GU have offered. UNC has also shown a lot of interest.
"As a point guard, Augustine has the complete offensive package. He finds teammates with precise timing, can shoot from deep off the pass and from midrange off the dribble, and he can make things happen in the lane. One of his best traits is making the interior pass after he gets the helper to jump. Defensively, he needs to get stronger to keep the ball in front of him." -Jerry Meyer of Rivals.com
Jawan Carter, PG 6'0" 165lbs is a four star recruit out of Delaware. He is regarded as the #12 PG in the class of 2006 by Rivals and the 52nd best player overall. Supposedly GU, St. Joes & Nova have offered...but UConn is showing interest.
Marques Johnson, SG/PG 6'5" 200lbs is a four star recruit out of Indiana. He is regarded as the #15 SG in the class of 2006 by Rivals and the 77th best player overall. UNC and ND have shown a lot of interest, but only OK and Purdue have offered.
Duke Crews, PF 6'7" 235lbs is an unranked recruit out of Hampton, VA. However, he is getting a lot of looks from coaches as he has a reputation as a battler -- often fighting off double and triple teams. GU, Clemson, FSU, Xavier, UVA, VTech and others have all shown various amounts of interest.
Some others:
Jeremiah Rivers, PG 6'4" 180lbs is a four star recruit out of Florida. . He is regarded as the #5 PG in the class of 2006 by Rivals and the 32th best player overall. He is the son of the Celtics coach and has consistently listed GU as a leader -- even took a visit (unofficial?). Competing with GTech, Kansas, ND, WF...
DaJuan Summers, SF/PF 6'8" 225lbs is a four star recruit out of Baltimore. He is regarded as the #19 SF in the class of 2006 by Rivals and the 75th best player overall. GU, MD and Wake are usually listed as the leaders, although UConn seems to be sneaking in...
Vernon Macklin, PF 6'9" 191lbs is a five star recruit out of Portsmouth, VA. He is regarded as the #4 PF in the class of 2006 by Rivals and the 9th best player overall. GU, GTech, MD, UNC and Wake are usually listed as the leaders, although seems to be seriously considering the NBA...
Brian Zoubek, C 7'0" 230lbs is a four star recruit out of New Jersey. He is regarded as the #5 C in the class of 2006 by Rivals and the 31th best player overall. GU, Duke, GTech, and Wake are usually listed as the leaders, although academics seems to be a serious consideration -- hence Duke and GU early leaders...
