I don't need to make fun of Charlie Villanueva's alopecia to hate UConn...
...but I do refer to him often as "Ed Begley Jr."
ba-ZING!
(sorry)
No, seriously, I don't care who is suiting up for UConn next year, I just hope JTII has that "gumption" article from the Big East tournament taped up all over the locker room in the days leading up to the game.
The Hoyas WILL beat them next year, Chaz or no Chaz.

The guys quite lackadaisical, only plays when he wants to. Lots of talent but no heart. That sounds like, oh, I don't know...EVERY GUY IN TH NBA!

Charlie will fit right in. He'll get a nice rookie deal. Get hurt/not play too hard for his first 3-4 years...get 1 or 2 coaches fired for not "getting all they can out of the young players". Then he'll sign a 5 year $35M offer sheet with ____ (pick a team) because he's 6'10'' with some moderate skills.
Then he'll get another coach fired and traded 4 years later in the last year of his contract. Although he'll be laughing all the way to the bank baby.

This sounds eerily like our own Patrick Ewing when he played in the NBA for Hubie Brown.

This sounds eerily like our own Patrick Ewing when he played in the NBA for Hubie Brown. No he doesn't. Ewing always played hard and had heart. He never got a coach fired. He isn't that type of player or man. He gave everything he had, and he had the fundamental skills to succed on the basketball court.

Fraid not pal. He complained of bad knees when Brown had him play power forward when he was on the team with Bill Cartwright. Brown got fired, and Ewing stayed and became center Ewing may be a Hoya, but don't confuse that with being principled. Remember Atlanta a few years ago?

Brown got fired, and Ewing stayed and became center Ewing may be a Hoya, but don't confuse that with being principled. Remember Atlanta a few years ago? Atlanta has nothing to do with what goes on the basketball court. AGAIN, Ewing played hard his whole basketball career. And Ewing had bad knees throughout his NBA career. Hubie was fired because Ewing should have started at center, not Bill Cartwright. Puting Ewing at power forward would do nothing for his development when they drafted him to be their center. That is why they eventually traded Bill for Charles Oakely, pal.

Stop kissing his @$$. I like Ewing and what he did for our program just as much the next guy, but at that time he did what he did for himself, and not for his team, and that is wrong. It's not his jb to make coaching decisions anyway.

Do we really have to make fun of his lack of hair? He has a medical condition, give the kid a break. Can you imagine the uproar if Uconn or Cuse fans were making fun of one of our players for having an auto-immune disease?? sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=1848088Mitch Hurwitz, the guy who writes and created Arrested Development is a GU alum. Maybe the Bluth Companies hairless nemesis is a secret postshot at the Huskies? Probably not, but its nice to think so.
