You should hear something very very soon from Chukwu is the word. PC is really pushing him very hard for a commitment, that's why he rushed up his St. Joe's visit. Cooley wants Chukwu to commit to help influence Abu and Terrell which makes sense. I don't get why Chukwu would be any influence on Abu & Terrell.. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Twitter says he's down to St. Joe's and Provy. Zagora I think.

Bump...
Why not GU? He would sit next season and be available to take Bradley H's spot among the bigs. We need another C to be available for the '16-'17 season.

Big East rules would prohibit such a transfer, in conference, of an athlete who had signed a letter of intent with another conference school. Wherever Chukwu may be headed, it will not be to a Big East Conference school.

Still, I doubt 'Nova would allow him to transfer in conference. I wonder if the fact that Ennis graduated affects his transfer options regarding BE schools? Edit: My bad. I was thinking of Dylan Ennis, not Chukwu, when I wrote that post.

Is that really a Big East rule? People on here make up a lot of rules.

This is a head scratcher. Why transfer when you are probably going to be starting or getting major minutes at a minimum. Unless this is a family situation or the academics not being a fit, this just doesn't make sense.

I've said this like 15 times in this thread -
- he went to a Jesuit HS - he's familiar with the East Coast - his host family has strong Catholic school ties - academics are a priority - African big man
This should be a no-brainer, and this should be a deal we can close on. Get him. He is a missing piece.

What part of "you can't transfer between BEast schools" didn't you understand TC?

Is that really the current policy though? That document seems like it's dated 2005, pre-new Big East.
Dumb policy, if so.

Life is more than just sports and PT.....maybe widen your paradigm and you won't be so confused, obviously this isn't a basketball-only driven decision

It's not a rule, but some teams build it into their LOIs....doubt the new BE has any such restrictions. The general NCAA rule is that you have to sit out two years instead of one when transferring to a conference school (given your current conference school grants you a release, which they basically have to do with any school anyway).
