Can someone who speaks "dribbling basketballs" please translate? So I know I am going to take heat for this, but that was barely English... If he can pass all of his classes speaking broken English, then Greg better get his Edited together Seriously? He has an accent, but he was decently well spoken and would have been easily understood he'd spoken up or there'd been less background noise.

Haha tbird I wasn't saying that he wasn't smart I was just saying that if an individual from another country whose first language is probably not English (I guess the broken english comment was much but i couldnt understand more than 5 words) can succeed at gtown (many friends who did it), then Greg should be able to at least do the bare minimum to pass his coursework. No harm intended towards Moses. He is one of my three favorite players on this team--sift through my earlier posts in this thread

vs Seton Hall:
Nice pass on the backdoor! (forget who it was to)
Also nice slam (looked like he was trying to go for the rebound) had everyone jumping up off the bench.
He also had one of his first legit blocks on a driving Cosby.

Nice assist to DSR and Bowen by Moses! (vs Depaul).
Is Moses a Junior or a Redshirt Jr? Didn't he sit out last year? How many years does he have left?

So currently he's a regular junior, but if we decide we want another year from him we can request it after his senior year. You do not have to request it right away.

I really wonder how much coming back from injury is hampering him. He looks so tentative going up for blocks and, to a lesser extent, rebounds. He triest to draw charges so much, which is not what I expected from the best shotblocker since Ewing. He's still a good rebounder because he's just so big and does a good job of using his body. But, I'm hoping that next year he comes out and is more comfortable testing his knee out.

Like I said in the Nerlen Noels discussion, ACL injuries are hard to come back from and it takes a while to regain your lift. Derrick Rose still can't dunk the ball in stride. I agree he seems tentative going up for blocks or jumping too high. This is probably due to getting back his lift and condition and I also think he might be scared on landing on someone or getting undercut and injuring his knee. I'm not sure if that's how he injured his knee at Kenner but that's the most common way it happens.

I was told he's still not at full strength, plus his tentativeness and there you go.

I suspect the knee is playing a significant role as several have suggested, but I'd add Foul Trouble might well be contributing to his tentativeness. He seems to pick up fouls so easily and quickly. Once you get that reputation, they often come even more quickly.
Still, I like seeing Moses out there. He'll get better. Look how much better Hopkins is playing now compared to earlier in the year. We probably should lower our Moses expectations for this season, but next - with more time to rehab the knee and more time in practice & games... he could still be a player.

Just based off his rebounds and effort on the glass...Moses should be getting more minutes than he is. Against athlethic teams that can match you athlete for athlete every rebound counts.

On the court, Moses can be a bit mechanical. It looks odd on O but doesn't seem to hurt the Hoyas much. On D, he can definitely be late on rotations down low -- he's a good straight up defender and a better rebounder than Hopkins but he also is really too slow to react in 2 on 1 situations or on help plays. Hopefully, he will improve some of that.
Statistically, he looks great until you get to the fact that he's turning the ball over on 40% of his possessions. Ugh. If he cleans that up, he can be very good in the right matchups for us.

Moses has improved his passing and has been better about getting set on picks. If he makes the fouls he gives count, I'll be happy. I can also see him drawing fouls as his positioning on O has improved too but he tends to set up too high. If he can get set lower and go strong, his value goes up immediately.

He needs to at least be a threat offensively to keep them honest.

We don't win today without Moses' playing like a MAN inside the paint for 30 minutes. As spectacular as Porter was, he could've scored 40 and the Hoyas still probably lose.
