What many might not know: Tim Higgins is the older brother of Hoya player and 1970 co-captain and Jimmy Higgins. I've never seen this mentioned on the boards. He has been an inspiration to bball fans of 'our age' running up and down the courts at age 66.

I think it has been mentioned at times in the past as the reason he did not ref Hoya games.

This is the very reason we should have recruited John Cahill Jr. even though he sucks.

At least one of his kids went to Georgetown in the 2000s. I think that's why he stopped reffing our games.

The story I always heard was that Jim was on the search committee that hired JT III so Tim stopped doing Hoya games once JT III was hired.

I will never forgive him for the mangling of the Clint McDaniel/Don Reid incident in 1994. We probably dont win, bit he screwed us good on that one.

I heard that Gharun Hester was his illegitimate child and that's why he stopped reffing Hoya games.
