Coach K - Amex commercial (4 billion times!)
Coach K - GM Sales Event Commercial (Right after the Amex commercial!)
Greg Koubek - Amex commercial. Runs some camp in upstate NY and I had to see a minute commercial on this for some reason.
Cingular moment - Chest Stomp 90210 shooting a free throw in 1992
If anyone has any doubt why they are so despised, watch about ten minutes of this tournament. I'm surprised we don't see Trajan Langdon doing an ad for Alaska Airlines.
If recruiting were an election, these ads would be illegal it's so much exposure. You wonder how they get so many "angelic-eyed" all-americans and pity for having "only 6" on their team this year. I've seen Coach K so much today, we'd be legally married in Utah.

Not to mention showing their game until they took a ten point lead, while Louisville struggled, and Syracuse was losing.

Any number one seed in a close game is worth a look, particularly when its only the first half. There's enough evidence of the media-Duke love affair without tacking this on.

Showing Duke lead a MEAC team by 7 with 15 minutes to go in the second half is not justifiable when there are more exciting games going on elsewhere. Especially when EVERYBODY knows the #1 is going to win in the end.

Relax, I'm not one of the unabashed Duke haters on the board.
I just hate the fact that I had to watch that game when there were more exciting games going on. For crap's sake, neither team made a FG for like four minutes, while Vermont took a lead on 'Cuse and ULL closed the gap and overtook Louisville.
If they hadn't cut away from GT running away from GW to show the end of Bucknell-KU...I would probably have broken some stuff. I just wanna see the closest games as they're going on, with a preference towards close games that would be big upsets.

All 4 games were showing at the same time all day long on 4 different TVs including a big screen in Village C Alumni Lounge. No one near campus should have been forced to watch any game. Just pointing this out because I wish more people had come, its really fun watching tourney games with a big group of people and it was awesome for the Vermont-Cuse and Bucknell-KU games. HB is also partially to blame for never sending out a damn email.

HB is also partially to blame for never sending out a damn email. Fantasy baseball draft kept me from going to VC. Also, the fact that I have no real rooting interest, except the success of my picks, usually means I don't get too bothered by the lack of switching. But only showing the last minute of the only two big upsets of the tournament (UWM was really not that unexpected, and neither should UAB have been) isn't right.

Adding to Duke Entitlement---take a look at how many guys they have on game broadcasts---Jay Bilas, Jim Spanarkle, Mike Gminski, and ESPN hired Jason "Jay--Harley" Williams. I think we get enough of their imput from Vitale that we don't need more voices from Duke-- and can't forget Seth Davis too. I'm not saying all are bad, but GEEZ it gets old.

Especially when EVERYBODY knows the #1 is going to win in the end. I'm not really sure I agree w/ you on that point--Delaware St. was giving them a game for awhile (enough where I started thinking about how cool it would be if Duke was the first team to fall to a 16 seed) but how bout the fact that was the "featured" game here in DC? I mean, c'mon--no one wants to watch the 1 seed play the 16 seed. Feature a more interesting game (i.e. any other game). If the 16 seed makes a game of it, then you can cut to the game, but otherwise, it's just a waste of precious airtime that could be used for better games. That being said, I don't know whether CBS did this with all the 1 seed v. 16 seed games or not.

What is worth mentioning is that Delaware State was giving Duke fits through out the first half. It was not until DelSt.'s point guard got hurt did Duke make a 1st half run.
Importantly, Del St. decided to run its offense through....Shavlik Randolph. Del St. spread the floor against Duke's man, and who ever McD All American Randolph was covering that guy would penetrate a down the lane. Despite multiple switches everyone on Del St. was more athletic than Randolph and could take him off the dribble. That is why the tourney rocks. No name guys who are clearly better than stiffs we have heard so much about for four years.

It looked to me that a smaller quicker team would beat Duke but maybe they didn't come out ready to play.

Did anybody else see towards the end in the Duke - Mississippi State game when the MSU guy brought the ball over half court and called timeout, and a Duke player lunged for it and knocked it away after the MSU guy had already started heading for the bench... one of the announcers (not sure which) practically lost his mind yelling that the timeout wasn't called in time and that it should be a Duke steal. It was so frustratingly biased, I wanted to throw up. I believe the phrase "Great anticipation of the timeout" was even used. Gag me.

Chris Duhon: "What a player what a man!" Vern Lunquist. Enough said. At least when we were great we were feared. I can't wait for JT3 to drop a classic line like "Manley Fieldhouse is officially closed" or "I don't want to be the first black nothing." The media sucks and I can't wait until they have to suck up another era of Hoya dominance. It's coming.

I hate the ACC, and I hate Pat Forde. This gem from ESPN:
"Despite an underachieving regular season, talented Tech was a wise-guy choice for a repeat Final Four appearance. For starters, the Yellow Jackets are from the ACC, God's gift to college basketball. When Tech made a strong run to the ACC tournament final, you figured they'd regained the verve that made them so dangerous at this time last year."
