ladies and gents,
I have to say after watching two days of suppossedly the best teams college basketball has to offer, these teams are not much better and in some cases are not better then US. I mean it look at Vermont beat Syracuse but the team we whipped up on in the NIT gave that team fits. I think in 2 years we will be a top 15 club make no dounbt about it. These teams and all they hype is what got most of them in. When JTIII has all his pieces in place we will be back on top. I believe if we were in we would of turned an upset or two this year. Just my thoughts of course I,m biased but

That's what I thought. Especially with the Buckies of the Patriot League beating Kansas.

I think if the recruits pan out, we're going big time next year. And if we get Rush? The sky is the limit.

Nah, Vermont had a pretty awful shooting day.
'cept Syracuse gave them the ball everytime they got it, so they got a boatload of exta chances.
10 TO's for Warrick....yeesh. Don't even think Iverson on his craziest day hit that mark.

Cuse just ran out of gas, I thought. Warrick looked tired, GMAC just looked sucky, and they didn't get the contributions they need from the younger players. There's no doubt in my mind that Cuse beats Vermont 7 or 8 times in 10, but Vermont earned it last night. Same with Bucknell. Ken Pomeroy has a diary on the game. His observations back up mine - the press was very effective, but they were too tired to stick with it at the end. kenpom.typepad.com/ha/2005/03/boeheimian_rhap.htmlThe best part is that Bucknell winning means that the Badgers can make the sweet sixteen by getting past N. Iowa and Bucknell. Sweet!

See this is exactly what Im talking about, WVU beat teh all mighty WAKE Forest ACC Cant be beat and look how we handled WVU when we played them. I just think alot of our games were lost on just pure grit. It wasnt so much the other teams were that much talented than us, I just believe the other teams out hussled, played more physical. As I said in the past we need that guy who can get physical with the other teams so our guys can follow his lead and not get pushed around. I have a list of past players that held this role for the HOYAS, in no particular order
1. Gene Smith 2. Micheal Graham 3. Perry Mcdonald 4. Jerome Williams 5. Reggie Williams
What are your guys top five??? Just want to know

Hopefully we can add Rush, Johnson, and Neal we will be a legit contender for the BE title. Especially since it seems we are not losing anyone of importance next year. Still hope DJ returns, but the last article on GUHOYAS.com made it seem that he is done after the NIT. Lets hope not

We need some depth, which appears to be coming; a lights-out outside shooter; and Hibbs to hammer the weights and work hard on his footwork this summer. Add those elements and we continue the climb to the top with a big leap next year.
